The UFC have been trying to book the Khabib vs. Conor rematch for months now, because the first fight sold the most PPV ever in the history of MMA.

As much as I would like to entertain this fun though experiment the truth is what we saw was how incompetent the UFC was during a pandemic. They stupidly assumed they could hold the fight in the middle east just like they assumed they could hold the fight on in an indian casino.

I think you're not giving enough credits to the UFC management team. They didn't get to where they are (4 billion $ plus in value) by being naive and incompetent that they "accidentally" gave "incorrect" info which led to the main event getting replaced.

In the video above, Khabib stated that Dana and the UFC told his team the fight will be "99% in Abu Dabhi." This caused Khabib and his team to fly out of the US and got stuck.

The UFC did not tell Ferguson and his team the same thing that they told Khabib's team.

4 billion doesn't mean anything. It was incompetence.US gov has trillions and trillions and they do dumb shit all the time.

First round of incompetence was Dana thinking the fights would be at the apex(wrong). Second round of incompetence was Dana thinking the fights would be at a Indian casino(wrong). Third round of incompetence was Dana thinking the fights would be in the middle east(wrong).

Dana finally wised up...worked with a state athletic commission and was able to hold the fights last night.

Khabib flew out there early because he has ties to that area and goes there often. It's a short distance relatively speaking to his home.
