Condits takedown defense is worthless though. The commentators said during that fight that Condit had been working on ways to deal damage to Maia from the bottom instead of getting up. So he went in expecting to get taken down easy, a stupid gameplan to have against Maia. He was training on getting the better of the worst possible situation instead of avoiding it. Saw a bunch in here saying it was over because Masvidal was not focusing on jiujitsu, I think it's much better that he focuses on his wrestling. It's not like he does not know how to defend of his back, he got 10 years of experience. Doing a 10 week jiujitsu camp is barely gonna help him get an edge over someone like Maia. And defeding a submission is way easier that getting one, it's not like no one have survived a full round on their back against Maia, most of his opponents do. I think some hold too much value over Maias easy win against Condit.Im suprised so many people are on masvidal.. The way maia effortlessly strangled condit was a real eye opener(although condit did retire right after so maybe he wasnt 100% committed.) Maia has a VERY impressive resume as of late its really tough to go against him.
