I honestly didn't know PFL didn't even allow Elbows so Kayla wasn't even allowed a weapon she would have had from a dominant position.

I think the rule was only applied for the earlier fights of their season thing, there is a reason "creative" formats do not work in MMA too many things can happen or they end up limiting the performance of fighters to acommodate their schedule.
