UFC 304 UK fans upset at event start times. Aspinall agrees

Not very smart is he? I understand they have to sell it in N America.. But why can’t they sell it in the afternoon?

Braindead, is it?

Yes, I’m sure the UFC/ESPN care more about the 20K in the seats. While blowing off most of their ppv buys in N America?

Don’t pay for it, and don’t go to it.

I mean is the UFC job to promote it and get people to buy it at that timeslot, WWE is doing a PPV in France and airing in the afternoon this side of the pond and I'm sure they are gonna do just fine, the UFC is a PROMOTION so...promote?

It reminds me of the UFC in Sweden between Gus and Rumble...those guys packed the arena, hoped for the best and at 5 am in the cold morning, their hero got crushed in few seconds. At the time, i thought it was a rough one for the sweds fans

Dana cares more about California residents than UK ones while making the event in the UK lol
As he should lol

We get the best start times for every event. Usually 3PM start time to fire up the grill and 7PM main card start for us which is the perfect time to serve food and get the drinks flowing. We are a privliged bunch here on the west. WEST COAST IS THE BEST COAST.

I agree too, this is bs for European fans. We only got a few cards yearly and now they fuck the time for this one too.

Wasn’t the last Singapore card also time wise shitty for the local crowd?

How do they choose the events and locations, where the crowd who buys the overpriced tickets to the arena, is in a worse position than the PPV buying audience?

They make far more overall from the PPV audience than the live gate. How is this a mystery to you?

I'd prefer that the main card began at 5pm. If you ask me, those Hawaiians have it best. Dana clearly bends over backwards to benefit Max's family and friends.

Is Manchester the only place that will let them do this? They did it to them last time as well.

I honestly wouldn't mind afternoon events in the US but I do understand how big of a hit it will be for PPV events. The fans who actually pay for pay-per-views probably got things to do for their family in the afternoon.

Maybe I'm just getting old because by the time the Co main event starts I'm already half asleep

Wasn't the Japanese ppv with Bendo vs Edgar on at a really weird time? I can't remember

Hasn't it always been like this though when they have cards in Europe? UFC 75, UFC 120, UFC 122 etc.
Not sure if trolling.

Those events all aired via tape delay:

UFC 75 for instance aired via tape delay: https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2007/07/ufc-75-to-air-via-tape-delay-on-spike-tv

As did UFC 120: https://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Spike-TV-to-Carry-UFC-120-on-Tape-Delay-25968

As did 122: https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2010...draws-average-audience-of-2-2-million-viewers

edit as did UFC 70: https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2007/03/report-spike-tv-will-air-ufc-70-on-tape-delay

What's crazy is the Gus vs Rumble event that took place in Stockholm, the prelims for that event started 11PM local time to suit US primetime.

And that was a fucking UFC on Fox card lol.
