What a trainwreck of an event.
For now, only 1u on Overeem-Sakai GTD at +200
Will probably make a bet on the Fabinski-Muniz fight.
Edit- 2u on Fabinski at -145
Added 1u on Menifield at +175 after round 1 and 1.3u on Sakai at -130 after round 3. A rare instance of me (possibly the first time all year?) losing money on live-bets.
Overall, finished a perfect 0/4 to finish with a bad -5.3u on a bad card.
I like my Sakai bet and it looked genius for about 3 minutes of round 4. I was shocked Overeem had enough strength left to wrestle him down in the final two stanzas, and even more surprised that after easily pushing off with his legs on the Dutchman's hips, Sakai didn't have enough strength left to simply post up.
Menifield might have been a tad over-optimistic, although DC's bullshit narratives aside, I honestly gave him round 1 and thought he was conserving energy to explode in round 2, which he did near of that stanza...to his detriment.
Totally fine with my 2 pre-bets. A heavyweight fight that ends in round 5 isn't too far off from GTD, and I don't mind losing on a -145 to a basic guard sub from the bottom when the victim had no prior history of succumbing to one.
Oh well, the winning streak of the past month had to come to an end. Look forward to starting a new one on Tuesday!
