If you poll musicians who their biggest influence was, The Beatles would be number one by a landslide.
Elvis right up there too but he was probably a better entertainer than musician.

There are tons of great rock musicians from the U.K., no doubt.
But if you’re talking about being influential, it’s the U.S. Where did all of that rock music come from? The blues. Without good old American Mississippi Delta blues, there’s no rock n roll.
Even outside of rock, the U.S. is pretty influential. Jazz, Blues, Rock n Roll, Hip Hop—all born in America.
I’m not trying to be all, “Murica!” Lol. I’m just saying.

Surely if that’s the case it just keeps going back then? It’s not like the blues mysteriously started from nothing. Blues came out of something else, which came out of something else and on and on...That’s the problem with these types of things. It never ends really and you can argue back to the very origins of music.
