Yeah ok. Maybe if you exclude the two that beat him one of whom was a LHW lol
Izzy for legacy, Pereira has him head to head though. His entire career involves beating everyone that Izzy lost to in MMA and achieving everything he couldn't. Izzy leaving after the loss to Strickland is pretty weak. He has the chance to take his entire legacy back with a fight over a guy he just beat 1 fight ago. He should jump back in and go for the 205 belt against Pereira.Who is currently higher on the GOAT list? Izzy or Alex?
Izzy 2x middle weight champion.
Lost to Pereia but avenged loss. Lost to Ian in LWH title match. Lost to Sean Strickland.
5 title defenses at MW.
Alex Pereira; 0 title defenses but double champ at 205 and 185. Also beat Sean Strickland and Ian who both beat Izzy.
Who is higher on the GOAT list as it stands after UFC 295?
I'd say simply brushing off the context that 2 of them have convincing wins over Izzy (the way you are) is pretty moronic. Sure wasn't a hot potato belt when he shat the bed against a cherry picked opponent (when he could've just as easily chose to fight Jones). You are saying that wins against champions are the most important. But that's stupid because if you fight at LHW you are going to face so many more former champs since they pass around the belt like hot potato than if you fight at divisions like WW or FW that have had dominant champs.
