Its crazy how quickly things can change in this sport. 18 months ago Izzy was still looking on course to be an eventual GOAT contender and was within 5 wins of having a genuine argument for being better than Anderson. Now hes behind a guy who only came to the UFC 2 years ago.

Who is higher on the GOAT list as it stands after UFC 295?

Izzy for legacy, Pereira has him head to head though. His entire career involves beating everyone that Izzy lost to in MMA and achieving everything he couldn't. Izzy leaving after the loss to Strickland is pretty weak. He has the chance to take his entire legacy back with a fight over a guy he just beat 1 fight ago. He should jump back in and go for the 205 belt against Pereira.

I'd say simply brushing off the context that 2 of them have convincing wins over Izzy (the way you are) is pretty moronic. Sure wasn't a hot potato belt when he shat the bed against a cherry picked opponent (when he could've just as easily chose to fight Jones).
And lmao at comparing npcs like Costa and Vettori with the depth of the lower weight divisions.
