I don't pretend that it is. The producers are pushing their religious positions behind the scenes, many of which run counter to political positions on the left - such as their positions on the LGBTQ community and abortion.

That said, the ads themselves do not delve into those politically controversial subjects. So, while I may not agree with all of the politics of the people who have spearheaded this ad campaign, I also don't have a problem with the ad campaign itself because they've stayed away from the 3rd rail topics.

Feet washing really shouldn't be controversial, regardless of how someone feels about the political stuff. I suppose I'd put it like this: If I can watch the commercial with my child and not have to explain abortion or anything like that to him but rather I can stick to the morality behind the feet washing image, I won't complain.
