Ya'll saying Conor will never beat Khabib said he'd never beat Nate

OK, let's do this. All Conor has to do is

1. Unretire
2. Beat a Top10 contender, someone like Cerrone or Lee or Gillespie
3. Beat a Top5 contender, someone like Iaquinta or Gaehtje or Poirier/Holloway
4. Challenge Khabib for the championship / rematch Khabib anyway if he was to lose his title to Poirier/Holloway or Ferguson

And THEN we bump up this thread, and begin to discuss Conor's chances in the rematch...

Until then:
SHUT YOR FOOKIN' MOUTH
:D

Nah man not a 10-8, Conor knocked him down twice but never followed up with anything and the last 90 seconds of that round was all Nate.

in boxing, a mere knockdown is an automatic 10-8 round...2 knock downs is a 10-7 round...so yes, it was a 10-8 round...doesn't matter if he didn't follow up with anything..a knockdown is huge...

A little over looked fact. Aldo Turned it down. Says he'd need a full camp for Conor

You could argue getting put down 3 times in one round as a 10-7 imo.

pretty sure, nate was knocked down twice in one round..then a knockdown in the following round...in boxing, 2 knock downs in a round is a 10-7 round.

McFanboys. Use t hear you guys babble that Connor will go down undefeated. Conor will beat Diaz. Conor will beat Khabib. Now your saying he'll beat Khabib in the rematch. Its the only thing you can say. He dowsnt have the belt. Isnt champ. And hasnt won for a while now. MMA moved on why dont you.

The problem is that Conor struggled a lot with gatekeeper Nate Diaz. The second fight was back and forth. You can not compare Khabibs performance with Nates. The Khabib fight was 4 rounds and we saw Khabib beat Conor everywhere. Conor never hurt or had Khabib in trouble. Khabib dropped Conor and GNP the fuk out of him and made him tap as well. Khabib couldve finished Conor quicker but Conor was cheating a lot in that fight which people forget.

I rewatched it. You are correct.
Dropped once in the 1st and twice in the second.

The craziest shit about all of it is that I'm sure Conor only got a 10-9 for round one with the knockdown and he basically dominated the whole round. Kicked the shit out of Nate's legs and boxed him up. Nate had nothing in that round. Should be a 10-8 minimum.
Second round I'm not even sure Conor got a 10-8 for 2 knock downs.

Now here's the real controversy and the only reason conor didnt win unanimously is because one judge gave Nate a 10-8!!! In the third round Seriously?

People that say Nate won or that Conor only won the majority need to seriously take the hater shades off and watch the fight again .

If anything Conor got screwed hard with the scoring

This is why the Heavies are shit, fucking Conor threads.

Who the hell thought Conor wouldn't beat Nate?
Nate was just a tune up fight because RdA was out injured, everyone though Conor would beat Nate, until he didn't.

Nate isn't very good, Nate is 14-9 in the UFC, Khabib is very good and is 11-0 in the UFC.

You're comparing a guy who has less than a 70% win percentage in his career, and hasn't been a title contender since 2012, against a guy who's 27-0 and is at this point undisputed best at 155lbs outside of maybe Tony Ferguson. Nate has no wrestling, and is fully willing to wing leather so conor gets to hide his weaknesses outside of lackluster cardio against him. Obviously conor's win chance isn't 0, but his chances of beating khabib just are not great. Not trying to say Khabib is unbeatable, I just don't think Mcgregor's skill set matches up very well against a guy of Khabib's style and prowess. He's not physically rugged enough to survive the clinch and grappling exchanges without losing a ton of energy. So outside of a hail mary shot, which he dosen't seem well suited to at 155 I think he loses that fight 90-95% of the time.

LOL fuck you TS

Except he actually had some degree of success against Nate in the first fight

Even though he "won" a round against Khabib, he didn't do an ounce of damage to him in the 4 minutes that Khabib spent standing with him. It was more a product of Khabib taking a quick breather than Conor actually doing anything meaningful.

Khabib beats him even easier in the rematch because now he won't show Conor's standup the respect he did in the first fight because he knows Conor's power is vastly overrated.

Conor didn't have any power in the third because he was gassed from the grappling.

people were more surprised conor actually lost to nate ... i mean he's certainly not a championship level fighter

He gave Nate adversity. He offered nothing to Khabib. Had 5 minutes to stand with him and he offered nothing. His highlight of the fight is a knee to the body. Some guys are bad matchups for certain styles. Also will never beat Holloway. Frankie will never beat Aldo. Kevin Lee will never beat Iaquinta. Conor will never beat Khabib. He had absolutely zero moments you can put in a highlight reel. His almighty left didn't phase Khabib.

"They could fight a hundred times and Nate wins them all"
"Nate's style is too much for Conor"
"Conor can't adapt"
"Nate's too big"
"Pointless rematch Nate wins again easy"

Fast forward a couple of years and the same haters who were proved spectacularly wrong before are back on repeat spouting all the same nonsense about how a Conor Khabib rematch couldn't possibly go better for Conor.

We've heard it all before but fortunately, unlike Conor haters, Dana doesn't suffer from a short memory and can easily recall Conor's heroic return against 190lb Nate and his silencing of those who said he had no chance.

Dana will grant Conor his rematch and it will be the most epic victory of Conor's decorated career.
Here you probably with your argument. Khabib and nate two different type of fighters. Nate shows low I.q. of fighting, khabib very high I.q. Nate has a lot of skills sets and really good at them but he just wants stand and bang. That not good fighting against high i.q. Fighters. Also Conor didn’t really soundly beat nate. Khabib is not going play Conor head games and fall for his trap. But hey if you let someone fight someone enough times they get a win sooner or later.
