It's quite the song isn't it. The text is so intense but it takes a while to really cotton on to just how solemn it is because the melody is so suave and toe-tapping cool. 'Sophisticated' might be the word i'm looking for...

Anybody remember Nena and this huge hit?


I had such a crush on her, cutest gal ever. I never had a crush crash and burn harder, than when she.. a little after this video, came out with a live version, different version where shes in a club raises her arms .. and I see two huge black bushy afros under her armpits.

Must be a German/European thing but jesus christ, was that a mood killer. Wiped her from my memory forever after that 3 seconds.
