There Is Now A Massive Rift Between Conor McGregor And Dana White

I don't believe mma is that big, or will ever be that big.

Ask someone what mma stands for, ask someone what ufc stands for

It's not like Conor going up to LW & holding the FW belt has only being a recent thing/plan. He talked about it a long time before there was talk of rumours between him and Dana not seeing eye to eye anymore.

Think about an immediate rematch against Aldo. And think about what Conor had been complaining about - not fighting often enough. If there was an immediate rematch given to Aldo, you'd think July for 200 would be the date. Aldo's not exactly active in recent times and his pulling out record speaks for itself.

Thinking about it now, Conor has mentioned:

- at the open workout before the Aldo fight he wanted to fight regularly.
- before he left Ireland for the fight he said he'd believe Croke Park when he sees it.
- the Go Big press conference he seemed like he was having a breakdown more than anything. And I think that may be when he felt after all that had happened before 189 he wasn't getting paid enough.
- Dana vetoing him and Diego Sanchez fighting at 155 when the UFC first went to Mexico.
- mentioning that Dana didn't like his tattoos - why would he care?
- and after 194 Dana talked about Conor vacating the belt to go up to 145, then shortly afterwards Conor talking about not vacating it.

I think the Frank belt slam in anger has been put to rest. You can see the full reaction on one of the different camera angles on Fight Pass. It seemed like what Dana said and that he was shocked by the KO like everyone around him.

Botter talked about Conor being possibly the first fighter to fight under HBO - but where are the opponents going to come from? I think the whole co-promoting thing is nonsense.

Jordan Breen had talked about one big difference between Conor and Rousey being that Rousey will sign whatever contract is put in front of her, while Conor will negotiate. But who knows if that's true or who his "source" is.
i think that frank could have been legit mad, but hes a smart businessman an quickly changed his demeanor for it to not become obvious. it could just be the opposite though, haha

adn that sanchez fight, i would have wanted to see that. fuck you dana

this could be a good thing. This will make other fighters try to be more exciting, be more colorful and try to brand themselves. I remember when Conor was on an MTV reality show, he has been building his brand for a long time now.

What's going to be funny is watching Conor being unable to fight 'cause he's tied into a multi-fight contract with teh UFC.

If Conor's goal is to run his own small promotion in Ireland and fight scrubs once in a while, he can probably manage that, but if he thinks he's going to compete with teh UFC, he's taken a few too many to the coconut.

In a few months, after RDA dispatches him, there will be an entirely new narrative.

What you thought was a GOAT was nuttin' but a SNAKE.

JK. Everyone knows there are no snakes in Ireland (and the Boss vs. Employee narrative is simply a great way to build hype. UFC and Conor are still friends).

Ah, it looks like he was in genuine shock or being a "moose" like Dana said - whatever that means. He turns to his Mrs as well as if to say "what the fuck?"

Botter said the Fertitta's are looking to sell the UFC as well and that FOX were possibly interested in buying it, but are asking for just the $2 Billion too much of its current valuation.

feodr was NEVER that big of a draw. maybe only in japan

BUT mcgregor IS the guy to be this huge draw. not to create his own promotion, who would fight there? but to get a really good contract out of the ufc

His strength in negotiation is indisputably impressive, at this point. No one in the sport today can realistically make greater demands.

I don't believe this. Conor will play ball, I'm sure.

Conor has zero plans of being another one of the UFC's slaves.

He may be the factor that cracks the power the ufc has over the fighters.
Or he'll demand so much money that the UFC won't be able to pay other fighters well because it's all going to him. Alj Sterling will be on food stamps. :/

Lol at anyone who thinks the UFC won't hold him down. They can and most certainly will freeze him out if they wanted. They did it with Tito during the dark ages when he was their biggest star and they almost had to sell the company because of it. Conor needs the UFC way more than the UFC needs Conor.
It will be a lot harder to freeze him out with a belt draped over his shoulder. Even if he loses to RDA, he is still the FW champion which still gives him leverage. If he wins though, fuck the skies the limit for this guy.

McGregor Promotions:
Conor vs somebody
Pendred vs retirement
Aisling Daly vs some chick
Gunnar Nelson vs a guy

no thanks lol

If this is true then conor should work with mayweather to build his promotion. That would cause dana to sh**

A man goes and buys a baby snake. Feeds it, takes care of it. Shows it love and devotion. Once the snake is full grown it bites the man who showed it nothin but devotion and love. When the man asks the snake why did you bite me the snake replies. Im a snake bro.... what did you expect.

TJ is that you bro?

O that's right they gave him his biggest mother fucking pay day of his life against Lesner at UFC 91.

They didn't give Randy the payday against Lesnar. They fed him to Tim Sylvia to save a PPV. Things just worked out differently than expected.

Maybe if this came from a legit source I'd believe it but it's fucking bleacher report.

This is what the UFC gets. You helped create this monster that is Conor McGregor. Now you will reap what you sowed.
