Jandiroba beat Claudia in openweight BJJ tournament in 2013. That'd be a really bad callout for an atomweight on a 2 fight losing streak against lesser grapplers.
Right, but was the intention to call out someone who she's confident she can beat? I'd hope she'd call out someone who she MIGHT beat (and would raise her stock if she were to.) However, Jandiroba would probably finish Brown without too much trouble.
I'm curious if Brown/Ellis would happen at Atomweight as both of them have fought there in the past. Might actually be a pretty good match-up. They both could use a win. I assume Ellis doesn't currently have a contract with Invicta. Maybe for FC22!

But money beats importance, so if the UFC is willing to pay them more for one fight a year, they will get them.

Maybe it's an investment to market them trying to get them to bring in more so they can pay them more.
Also for the fighters, knowing it's a shallow division built around a suspended cheater they may not want to risk the jump and burned bridges

as soon as UFC announced 145 i knew they would do this, although i cant see the new UFC owners paying big purses for the winner to face the UFC champ.
although it may be cyborg level cash for title shots, i think they will see how much of a draw this becomes
very surprised she has no plans to drop down, will see if she changes her mind after a few fights
