It's a bit odd, because he's willing to somewhat undermine Tyron's chances of getting the GSP fight, while simultaneously saying he and Tyron are longtime friends. It's sort of paradoxical.

He praises Woodley in a way, insinuating GSP would be scared to fight him due to his power. But also wishes to steal that opportunity from him, by baiting GSP into a fight with himself, by saying he, conversely, doesn't hit hard.

In other words, he doesn't want to fight a friend, but he is willing to snatch a meal from one.
