He got the LHW title shot in his Bellator debut, beat a decent but not elite Phil Davis, and then defended against a pretty mediocre Vassell.

That HW tourney was a joke...half LHW's and half washed-up or never-was HW's.

In UFC he's not a top-10 HW and probably not a top-5 LHW.

Good fighter, but he has definitely taken advantage of the fact that those 2 weight classes are hurting for talent right now, especially in Bellator, and they have curated his opportunities.

I wouldn't put Davis in the top 5 since Nemkov beat him not long ago but he's not far from it and certainly better than Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos.

I’d say that’s just a nod to Nemkov. He most certainly should be in the top 10 now. McGeary should be close as well. UFC still has Shogun as top 10. Their LHW is garbage aside from GOAT JOHNY WALKER.

I would put Nemkov in the top 5 not sure if Davis would make the cut but he should be top 10. McGeary should be top 15ish. The UFC's LHW division is probably thinner than it's been since Pride was around.

I never said Smith and Santos were elite--HW and LHW are lacking in talent right now, everywhere. Other than Jones, there are pretty much no super-fight worthy LHW's.

What about Davis' resume makes him elite? Even if you consider his wins over Machida and Nog, they were close to his losses to Evans and Johnson.

He's an elite talent who has not turned into an elite fighter. Give me another fighter who you think he's better than that would show he's elite.

I'm not a fan of Jones, but there are no worthy opponents for him right now.

Where does Ryan Bader/Phil Davis fall in the LHW category by these standards? Two top 5 talents in their division aren’t elite lol. Whatever you say bud. If the UFC threw a turd in the octagon and Joe Rogan started screaming “This Guy is a top 5 LHW.” You’d probably say the turd was better than Bader and Davis. UFC can brainwash ppl so easily.

Rob didn't break up his streak with intermittent losses.

In any event, I'm not attempting to knock on Mousasi. I was just digging on people for absurd comments such as "Mousasi is the greatest. Rob sucks." Fact is, Whittaker has earned his position as champion. Mousasi was an amazing addition to the UFC roster and I wish he were still there instead of fighting the Schlemenkos of Bellator.
