If 20 year old Mike Tyson started training mma in 2010 how would he have done

Wilder would definitely have a harder time. We'd agree there. I think Fury a few years ago finishes him just from counters/timing.

And i also think AJ beats Wilder. AJ has nearly or equal technique to Fury but more power. Bad matchup for Wilder.

Bruno never easily beat anyone

Bruno was a good fighter that came unstuck vs some good guys.

He was beating Bonecrusher and Lewis before he was caught.

Not claiming Frnak is a world beater, but he was quite good in the day imo.

im not being condescending. If you think Wilder could compete in the that era that's cool.

I just think they had much better fundamentals back then.

Aj is world number one now and I think he is still learning on the job.

It's an exciting era (if these top guys fight) but I think it's pretty weak.

And by the way

We're never seeing those 3 fight each other. Wilder vs Fury for "lineal hw title" was all we're getting.

I still contend Fury is the lineal champion.

I love Fury, but AJ is number one until he is beat.

Unless Wilder and Fury have a rematch and there is an outright winner.

I understand Fury was the last lineal champ, but he was suspended due to drugs and went on a long hiatus.

I want Fury to beat Aj and think he could, but Joshua has earned the right to be called the number one guy at the minute.

As far as pure fundamentals and tactics of old school tried and true boxing....yeah, it's different now. I think the fracture of major promotions make it seem worse than it is....guys need quality dance partners more often, a good opponent makes you look twice as good

prob the greatest ever. Dude was a freak of a nature

A lot of the bigger guys are very rugged and strong.

Look how far a decent, but limited skills has taken someone like Whyte for example.

He is ranked in the top 4 and the guy is not really a skill full boxer.

Dude is an animal though and can punch.

I hate to be that guy, but if Wlad was around in his prime he would still be the number one guy for sure.

He was old when he fought AJ and Fury.

Fury would still have a chance of outboxing (manoeuvring) him, but I don't think Aj would beat a younger Wlad. He went life and death with a 41 year old semi retired Wlad.

I saw Breazeale in person and he looked good, was an olympian i think

I like him.

Fury vs Vlad prime for prime would be a draw waiting to happen...Fury outboxes for 7 rds to be knocked down late again lol

I think if Wlad was a little less gun shy he could beat Fury

But!!! lol it's easy saying that on hindsight.

Fury was a bigger more mobile man and I think Wlad was a little thrown off by the awkward size and fundamentals of Tyson.

Fury really did improve LOADS in the few years leading to the Wlad fight.

I just want to see all these top guys get it on NOW!! lol

Crazy power and speed and just overall crazy . Would possibly be a threat a lhw or just be a smaller dominatinf hw
War iron Mike

Well he wasnt good under adversity so I'd think the grappling would probably be his biggest issue . He wasnt very big so at HW I could see alot of guys giving him issues. Like say stipe . Defensively he would maybe need to adjust his peekaboo style .. dunno his whole style is based on boxing rules so it's hard to say tbh

Was front runner and lost to pretty much every decent fighter he fought, so I don’t think to good at all.

I was actually just wondering if he'd be at 205

With his movement against mma heavyweights though...oof

LHW easy, if he cut no weight he'd be a tiny HW. He could potentially be a middleweight.

True but he'd want to cut as little as possible with that insane power...weight cutting can take the zing out of those shots

Very good, I imagine he would be a 205er. With his build, focus and how quickly he picked up techniques I imagine his wrestling would be pretty damn good after a few years. He'd probably be like the 205 boxing version of Cro Cop.

Tyson was only like 210-215ish, if he restricted sodium and carbs a little he probably wouldn't even need to cut water weight.

It would have been a thing to see. A young Mike Tyson was a freak of Nature. His reflexes were second to none.

He's naturally built like a wrestler and I'm sure he could sprawl and ragdoll after training with high level guys.

I mean were talking about a man with touch of death power LOL. Right hand /Left hand both = cemetery

With awesome tdd its hard to deny his speed and power would be huge. At hw he would be like Fedor as far as speed and ko power in both Hands. Obviously he has more power than Fedor one would think, not sure how that would translate to mma, having to totally change his stance etc. Would be cool to see tho.

Boxers normally struggle in other fight sports. I doubt he would do very well.

Manhoef had success in mma by having powerful hands, And Tyson was A powerful, tough guy, so maybe he Would do ok, but I doubt it. A kickboxer does better.

I don't think that's necessarily true, I think we have just seen much higher level kickboxers that were still in their primes in MMA(Cro Cop, Schlit, Daniels) than we have seen boxers in their primes do MMA(I can't think of any high level boxers that did MMA during their prime years).
