Do you think prime Fedor would be able to compete in the octagon?

Sanctioned unscripted fights?
As far as I am consrened bad inferior ruels and bad environment cage.

MMA should be fought in ring and PRIDE rules which are better and both did great there.

that’s really debatable
Its really not. This thread is worthless.
Prime Fedor is impossible to defeat.

He would maintain his streak in the vaccum of space.

The moronity in this forum knows no bounds. By the time either them got to the UFC, they had aged and had a lot of mileage/fights. Fighters wear down and fade away. It is just fact.

Also, in reference to some of the other moronic statements on this thread, the HW division has digressed. Look at your top competition... Ngannou is on everyone's mind as the next champ but he is basically a smaller Hong Man Choi. I like Stipe and DC but neither are multi-dimensional. In fact, a prime Randleman or Marco Coleman would run roughshod through today's competition, cage or no cage.

Lastly, however, Sherdog is famous for judging guys' careers based on their last fights, ala BJ Penn. Is normal, eapecially for morons.
A prime Coleman wouldn't even be a top 50 HW in 2019 lmao

Ngannou starches everyone from PRIDE with one arm tied behind his back

If the UFC held a heavyweight Royal Rumble match, Prime Fedor would enter the cage first and still be the last man standing.

Fine

Both arms tied behind his back

He'd sleep chinny Fedor with an upkick

Trololololol

Sorry mate, we all saw the Black Beast and Stipe fights. But you just keep on fantasizing about Francis's big black muscles.

Wasnt he in his prime in the Strike Forcr Grand prix?

The fossil of Arlovski is still top 10 in the UFC today.

Bum ass Derrick Lewis is top 5 today.

Francis Nogroundgameou is top 3 today.

But you're asking if prime Fedor can compete today?

Lol

Nope, his trainers said Fedor was slowing down years before that in Affliction. Most everyone that watched Fedor's career seems to be in agreement his prime ended before the Tim Sylvia fight but not long before that.

I'm in complete agreement.

The Nog fight seems like the obvious example of the problem Randy would have, his success was almost always based on taking the fight into an area that was "safe" for him but in this fight he has no safe spot to aim for, he;s under threat in every position against someone who hits much harder than Nog.

I strongly suspect that match would have been over inside of 2 mins.

Not to mention that Greco forbids trips and grabbing below the waist, which handicaps Randy greatly against the superior judo of Fedor.

If Randy was able to survive the hand trap game of Fedor's striking, he would not do well in the clinch. Fedor tosses him, and chokes him or pounds him out.

As a judoka, grappling Greco guys was easy pickin's. They had no defense against tier two throws; they might defend the uchimata but the kouchigari that I chained into got them every time.

I could potentially see Randy getting a takedown(although could just as well be the reverse) but even if he does is that going to benefit him much? he never really showed great defence from the top nore much in the way of threat himself. I mean Randy did have some power so its not impossible he gets a KO himself I spose but I think its a match where he's just too fragile to last for long.

Of the top Pride guys Barnett would probably be Couture's best chance of picking up a win as Josh wasn't as dangerous standing nore as good off of his back but even then I'd still make Barnett a considerable favourite to repeat the first fight between them. Go a bit further down and he might be able to beat Hunt as well I spose although I could see Mark landing at some point as well.

In reality I think Randy's HW comeback was a combination of targeting an injured Sylvia(although already a better style matchup) and then getting the flaky Gonzaga coming off of a never to be repeated performance against Mirko.
