Media Eddie Bravo on Khabib vs Ferguson.

Yes, I agree. But we still have people who think Tony will beat Khabib and they based it mostly on Tony's 12 fight win streak.. And while I think Khabib is definitely the better fighter, if Tony somehow wins...

So...if Tony wins you are still going to claim that he's not the best LW? 13 in a row and the last one over an undefeated champ but you'll still try to deny it?

Or am I misreading what you're saying?

...for the real belt, Tony has zero.
you actually trying to defend this is hilarious. also imagine tony or any of the top 5 vs alvarez.

now, that aside, once more, conor has 1 win at lightweight, 1.

Bravo was extremely impressive on this fight companion Offering awesome insight

I really liked this episode because of Bravo

RDA was the man when Alvarez beat him. Beating RDA isn’t easy and you have to give Eddie credit for that. Eddie is past prime now and so is 36 year old Tony who’s very best win was RDA. If you are implying beating RDA on your best win makes you a can then both Tony and Eddie are cans.

I hope Tony doesn't believe all this shit of getting a TKO from the bottom with elbows or catching him in a D'arce.

He should try to keep the fight standing at all costs.

- Calls Khabib 'the worst case scenario' as a matchup.
- Ferguson will constantly be looking for opportunities to lock in a D'arce.
- specifically mentions the Tibau and RDA fights, as instances where Khabib looked 'human'. However, that they won't truly know how Ferguson's TDD holds up until the fight starts.
- they've been working on yet unseen 'landmines' for this fight.
- claims that Tony has many weapons to hurt Khabib.
- Bravo himself regards this as the greatest matchup in UFC history.

I find Ferg a tiny bit overrated I think Khabib won’t have any issues with him

Yes. What I meant was that if Tony wins, we would all have to agree that Tony is the best LW.

Right on. This fight is the 2 best, no question.

Eddie had a great night vs RDA, no doubt. But Eddie has never been consistently great, he always has hiccups. Even against guys he maybe shouldn't lose to. He has had good performances even aside from the RDA fight too. But you can't even compare him with a guy who hasn't lost in 8 years and 12 fights.

Do you consider Tony in his prime though? By the time the fight comes around he'll be 37. Don't get me wrong guy clearly still has it but I wouldn't call 37 a prime fighting age.

This is the main factor in this fight. If this fight happened 2 years ago I'd lean towards Tony.

At this point I think Khabib runs away with this fight.

Actually, I can. You are absolutely correct about everything you said but Eddie has had tougher fights and a spottier record. If Tony actually fought Gaejhe,Poirier,Conor and Melendez his 12 fight winning streak would mean a lot more but the bum of the month club Tony has been fighting ....you are right again when you say you can’t compare them.

Melendez? Barboza pulverized him and Tony beat Edson, that's a better win already. Conor is 1-1 at LW. Justin wasn't even in the UFC for most of Tony's streak LOL. Poirier is tough for sure but that's one guy.

You CAN compare of course but most of us realize how much more impressive Tony has been.

One "bum" that Tony beat recently handled Eddie easily too...

My prediction, fight is stopped before the start of the 4th, Khabib gets a nasty cut on his brow and it just keeps bleeding and bleeding, it will be close, but Khabib will show damage on his face. Tony doesn’t have to touch you that much to damage your face. It can be a very close fight, even with Khabib arguably up on points, but the cut will be too deep, doctor will come in after the 3rd round, and wave it off. And NEW ufc lw champion, Tony the lunatic Ferguson

<TrumpWrong1>

When has Khabib even come close to being cut..?
:D

He’s never faced a guy like Tony who just turns peoples faces into hamburger. I can’t predict the future. But winning via cut, is possible. I think even if Tony can keep it standing and win 2 minutes out of each 5 minute round, while Khabib gets the other 3 minutes via grappling and control, Tony can slice you up from the bottom with those elbows. It’s a Hail Mary prediction.

I love how Tony fans are hanging on him cutting Khabib like they were fighting for their life on a sinking ship lol.

That’s because of Tony’s penchant for damaging his opponents. There was a collage someone made of his past opponents, they looked like Freddy Kruger. Tony isn’t really a KO artist, but what he seems to manage to do is damage the soft tissue on his opponents faces really well. Even without punching them all that much. If Tony is gonna win and that’s a big IF, how do you see Tony winning? And don’t say Tony isn’t gonna win. I’m saying IF he wins, how? Razor thin split decision? That’s an option too,

Ferguson can slice you up with elbows if you sit in his guard.. Khabib 100% is going to prioritize grappling control, over his usual activity (GNP, sub attempts) this fight. In doing so, he'll completely neutralize Tony's sub and elbow threat off his back..

If Tony wins it will be by razor thin split decision, yes. I don't see how he could win otherwise.
