Stipe is a good enough wrestler, and has a good enough gas tank, to negate Cain’s biggest assets. Cain isn’t going to beat Stipe if the fight is mostly standing. Stipe wins 7/10 IMO.

Cain's injuries have made everyone forget how good he was. Ive never been a cain fan (was more of a lesnar mark) but i admit, when cain was healthy and on the top of his game i think he was the best mma fighter in history.

This makes no sense. Ngannou is not beating prime Cain or any great HW unless he lands a luck punch. Cain is maybe top 5 to me but he mauls Ngannou with ease.

Have to agree. He was a nightmare matchup for mr. "I dont know what lateral movement is" but thats close to his whole resume at the top.

Other than that its all about match ups.

JDS > Stipe most of the time
Cain > JDS most of the time
Stipe > Cain most of the time

Alltime only these 3:

1) JDS
2) Stipe
3) Cain

Stipe has lateral footwork and would counter just like Cormier would. Cain has much worse stand up than Cormier.In retrospect we should slowly begin to see how much we put Cain on a pedestal for the JDS win.
Reality is that HW really went downhill the last years. We have someone like Black Beast contant in the top10. Shouldnt be possible.

Stipe is a complete fighter who constantly evolved. Thats what I really llike about him and he is a nice change of scenery with no trash talking.
