Dark Souls 1 may be the most special game in the soulsbourne series [.....after bloodborne ofcourse haha]. The level design alone is worth the playthrough, stick with it.

Let’s be honest though the level design took a huge dive off the cliff after Anor Londo, Dark Souls 1 is only great for the first half.

Im used to my fav games having a better first half than the second half lol, my fav series is the RE series.

I'm playing the remaster right now, only did one playthrough of Dark Souls in like 2013 and it's still glorious.
I'm at Anor Londo right now and been loving it. Found an area I never even knew existed this run Ash Lake with the Hydra and the Dragon Covenant, I thought I had seen everything in the base game in my first playthrough so that was a welcome surprise.
I've never played the dlc either so very much looking forward to that.

I played BB first , DS2 second, 3 3rd, 1 and then Demons Souls. I cant say that experiencing the newest one first ruined any of the oldies for me. You just have to taper your expectations a bit as far as graphics and whatever. Still great games.

They pretty much abandon their titles after release.
The most egregious instance I can think of was their PC port of the original Dark Souls. It was a broken mess and they never addressed it. Took the community modding it to fix it.

So this crazy bounty has been issued. $1,000 to the first three people to beat all DLC bosses in NG+6 with every right hand weapon at minimum stats required (ie, BL4 or similar).
No runes, buffs or chalice gems (except for the Milkweed rune which is needed for the Kos Parashite to work properly). Main game gems are fine but the only farming allowed is for rapid poison gems from the ball and chain enemies (Mergo's Attendants or something). This will be insanely hard.
