I asked because to feel the difference you should quit for at least 20 days after that amount of time your brain doesnt need caffeine anymore and starts working normally.after that you feel the differenceweeks? couple months? not something I've kept real tight track of over the last 40+ years, I'm curious why you ask ?

Read the thread titleIt may well be true that it takes 20 days to washout but as I understand it your brain doesn't "need" caffeine. I'm not sure what your point is, how does this relate to your original point or what I posted? Seems you are off on a tangent.
You asked a simple question and I gave a simple answer 'it can increase performance'. Caffeine has a bunch of other pro-bodybuilding effects too, I'll leave it to you and google to explore them. Please note I am aware that their are negatives as well but that was not your question.

"I know" doesn't hold any weight unless you can back it up. How do you "know" the performance gains don't overcome the cortisol issue at a responsibly used dose of say up to 6mg/kg ? I'll bet you anything you like that you can't prove that. I'll further wager that you do not understand what muscle tone is.
