GLORY 77: Heavyweight Tournament and Three Title Fights, exclusive PPV on January 30th

are you/they aware of Littewada? Thai fighter who competes at ~142 pounds and is one of the best offensive fighters in Muay Thai . He could probably fight kickboxing at 145 and it would be awesome.
Not so sure about it. I think he would be great in kickboxing, but they already have Petchpanomrung. I think Littewada could be more marketable in ONE or in Japan

he would be a great fit in ONE or K1 sure but at the same time either he or Petpanomrung could jump to 155 and dominate in Glory (guess Petpanomrung is the bigger one?).

it’s just a matter of offering the average dollar contract and be happy but Glory is lazy about it.

A lot of Glory fans complain about Thais (too much clinching, too much kicking bla bla). Littewada, being a southpaw and muay fimeu, would probably look the same as Sittichai and Petchpanomrung to them.

I would maybe look into this kid who had the sparring match with Rodtang; he already has a good size and good boxing skills and has been described by Capitan/Diesellek as "wonderkid"

Littewada can look way more impressive (to Glory’s audience) against sub level competition than Sittichai. Not denying it could turn out to be another regular Thai southpaw domination but IMO Littewada is the one guy who’s big enough and aggressive to change that perception.

Did you watch his boxing match against Kongsak? IIRC Littewada was more skilled, but Kongsak overpowered him.

Sangarthit is very very raw as a boxer, he has awful footwork and defense, but has heavy hands, and his technique is definitely improving fight-to-fight. I think he's potentially got a big future, but a long way down the road. Right now he should be matched carefully

haven’t watched or don’t remember it. I’m thinking of Littewada obliterating foreigners recently in Muay Thai (Lobo and a couple other unknown guys somewhere I can’t recall, maybe China).

of course it could be different under Glory/K1 rules but I don’t see a better Thai candidate to move to kickboxing.

Looks interesting given his height you think he could fight as welterweight also?
Or would it turn out like Thongchai?

Thongchai was washed up, I don't think it makes sense to compare him to a young kid. I have no idea how well Sangarthit would do or which weight would be optimal. I brought him up because while I am sure someone like Littewada is more likely to succeed, I think someone like Sangarthit would bring more exciting fights and engage more fans.

Very cool, GLORY partnering with RISE:

RISE CEO Takashi Ito said he is open to more exchanges in the future. I think this is necessarily if they want to keep those weight classes around. It instantly makes them more deeper.

I hope this trend continues potentially with other organizations. This is a good way to get more variety in the fighter lineup and more interesting match up possibilities.

Is this Sangarthit kid from the south of Thailand or Isan?

Great news. Hope some Japanese fighters go fight in Glory as well. I hope it's a long-term commitment so that either promoter won't worry about their fighting going abroad and losing/getting knocked out.

I have no clue. Would (ignorantly) guess the south

I thought so too because he is muslim and they tend to live in the southern part, he does look more austronesian than people from isan

I would be interested if glory did cut a deal with rise or if it is because they could not guarantee Petpanomrung a fight within 60 days. I know under the old glory people like sittichai had no exclusive deals with glory having scheduling rights were they could refuse to let him fight else where if they gave him a fight within 60 days of the proposed bout in another organization
