Social Gina Carano tosses her hat into social media politics #fireginacorano trends

I am also amazed Batista still has a job. He talks mad shit on Twitter and much like Gina he is easily replaceable.
How hard is it to find a jacked dude, paint him green and have him spit out goofy 1 liners.

I don’t condone saying that.

What exactly is your point? That all conservatives are racists and all liberals are morally superior?

If so then I recommend watching less CNN and try thinking for yourself.

Not saying that all my friend. What I'm saying is that words have consequences. I recommend watching less OAN and try being just a smidge nicer to your fellow man instead of having an attitude of "*uck your feelings."

Yeah, I read the quote, the entire point could have been made without making any comparison to nazi treatment of Jews though. If she had avoided that fraught comparison she’d be fine. It’s a simple rule to follow “don’t compare anything short of genocide to nazi treatment of jews.” Follow that rule and avoid an obvious, predictable backlash.
I don't think using Nazi Germany as a reference should be completely off limits. It like telling a kid don't play in the street. You can say don't play in the street because you could fall and scape your knee, the kid would be like meh whatever. Or don't play in the street you could be hit by a car and killed, it has a bit more weight. Her post in particular isn't great because we aren't at the point of people getting beaten in the streets en masse for their political opinion, but I think her point is valid. She should have just used an example from earlier in the Nazi rise about how they got people to start hating jews instead.

right wingnuts think free speech means you can spout whatever bullshit you want without any consequences - and that if anyone so much even fact checks it, they're being oppressed

people who believe anti vax shit and whatever other horse shit conspiracies aren't right leaning, they've leaned right off the fucking cliff

Who gets the to decide what the consequence is?
You?
Or some other porridge-ass, blue-haired pansy that doesn't have the emotional intelligence to deal with any view that isn't their own?

Has it ever occurred to you that the people who are "deciding what the consequences are" for people who say what they don't agree with, are the very last people in the world who should make that decision?

People who believe anti-vax shit and any other horse-shit conspiracy has a right to state their beliefs without getting harrassed by bloodclot cowards who think they own the moral high-ground. If it's horse-shit then it should be easy to debunk. But in the spirit of eternal bitch-ass-motherfuckery your default setting is anonymous bullying and whining. There is legal machinery in place if she said something illegal. But she didn't.

This shit will backfire one day. I guarantee it.

I can't believe Vin Diesel got paid a reported $54M for his amazing use of the words I am groot.
Something doesn't add up.

I feel like the rule here is “don’t compare anything with the treatment of Jews by the nazis.” Just leave that comparison alone unless there’s an active genocide happening.
I agree mostly, as it's definitely a touchy subject, and should always be handled with care. However, there's a serious double standard going on here.

Unlike Pedro's post here, where he's drawing clear parallels, Gina's not comparing herself to persecuted Jews. It's about the slippery slope, exactly what cancel culture is leading us all towards.

In general, the Nazis are too broadly drawn in our culture to be introduced as a comparison without dragging a ton of irrelevant, morally charged issues. If there’s any other example that fits, use that one first.

She got multiple warnings for transphobic and election fraud tweets.

She's not transphobic as a lot of the media and big tech sycophant's try to paint her. She just threatens lesser men by not catering to their ego. Media mandated transphillia is whats driving this fuckery.

While we are making bad analogies, does anyone remember the scene from Casino where Deniro confronts the Sherriff about firing his son? The son was on duty when someone won a lot in a row at the casino. Deniro said something along the lines of "he was either in on it or he was dumb enough to think someone could win that much - in either scenario, he's fired". Take your pick. Carano is being fired because of the things she said or being dumb enough to know she probably shouldn't say them publicly. Either way, it shows she is a liability.

Yeah, and I wouldn’t be concerned if they fired that guy for his posts either.
