Agreed. I wish they would hurry up with the EA shit as well. If MS would drop their stupid fucking MS store BS game pass would be running on PC a lot more smoothly. I have no idea what it is with MS and that stupid store. Nobody is moving away from .exe files and the need to get over it. I'm not even going to get into the way they restrict you from accessing the windows folder as it's only going to fill me with rage.

Yea EA play was supposed to come out end of last year. It was postponed because EA has to make all their games work in that stupid fucking windows 10 store. EA already has all their games working on PC but they are standard installs that don't work on the windows store. MS coming to PC has been great but there are some really stupid moves they are making. I wont even consider buying a game off gamepass as long as it's part of that store. I'd easily pay double and more just to get it off steam and avoid that garbage store.

Derp, Tom. We all already knew that Microsoft was done doing "full" exclusives on Xbox. Every single first-party game they publish goes straight to PC. Where is Game Pass, again, Tom? Oh, that's right: exclusively on Xbox and PC. Until that changes, the specific language you highlighted indicates Bethesda will only be available on...Xbox, PC, and Xbox/PC.
Today all but confirmed it. Bethesda is now a console-exclusive studio. No Playstation, no Switch.

“SOME exclusives on Xbox and PC.” There’s going to be Bethesda titles that are multiplat going forward. Some will be exclusive to Microsoft’s platforms.

It fuckin' kills me how there are still some people out there thinking Microsoft made this move for any other reason than to stomp on the throats of their competition. No, they spent all that money for...no reason at all. Nothing changes. No exclusivity. It was just some fun bucks they had lying around to just piss away because they were bored. Yea I’m not buying that the monster titles like Elder Scrolls or Fallout will go to PS5. Defeats the purpose of MS acquiring Zenimax.

LOL, indeed! There it is. The word you've denied since the news broke. They have made it explicit. Games will be exclusive.
If you read just the top upvoted tweet responder to that, he points out they couldn't say "all" because Bethesda has prior contract obligations to honor for certain games, and the example he cites is Deathloop. He also mentions that Microsoft discussed a "case by case" basis, and this is possibly to allow games that were previously slated for release on the other platforms, though not contractually obligated to do so, such as serials wrapping up an arc like Wolfenstein 3. Of course, this may not mean the Playstation or the Switch, at all. This could mean Stadia and Luna. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a Stadia game. Microsoft hasn't stonewalled these fringe competitors. After all, just this week, people successfully managed to run Stadia on an Xbox Series X via the Chromium-based Edge Browser that is now in alpha on the platform. Luna can also be run on an Xbox.

Right, some games will be exclusive, some won’t. Case by case basis still remains.
The statement reads: “Will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games” which means that there will be other places to play some new Bethesda games.
Pretty clear.

Yeah, they said best place to experience, not only place. Maybe there will be timed exclusives but I'm not getting the vibe that Bethesda is now an exclusive deal or else they would have worded it differently imo.
If anything, this has always been the case anyways for Skyrim/Fallout 4 because there are fuck-all for mods on PS4 compared to even the XBone, nevermind PC because of the way Sony handles modded assets

Exactly, it was worded that way for a reason. I’m maintaining we’ll see more of the legacy franchises continue to be multiplat and new IP’s tending to go exclusive. I’m sure we’ll see timed exclusives as well.
They certainly aren’t locking everything to Microsoft platforms.

Right, but I meant for Bethesda as a whole, I think people taking "Fallout/Starfield/TES6 are Microsoft exclusive" are drawing faulty conclusions. They could be timed exclusives (and for all I know, maybe they do make Starfield a true exclusive), but I'm not getting that vibe at all. Could see them maybe making something like Dishonored III exclusive if they make it but they will likely try to maximize sales from their big hitters otherwise.

See that's where my opinion differs.. I personally think they'll make the big hitters.. Starfield, ES, and Fallout exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem in order to maximise gamepass subscriptions. Think of the Disney + strategy for example, and how they lock Stars Wars and Marvel primarily behind their platform..
Dishonored, Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls Online content and Doom could possibly release multi platform..
Obviously, this is just speculation at this point and we won't know what's exclusive until the announcements.

But their biggest movies are all available for anyone to see in theaters (eventually) or purchase. It’s an additional revenue stream.

Well, obviously you will be able to purchase the exclusives that end up on gamepass, outright.. whether digital or physical, on three distinct platforms (PC, XCloud (which by the time Elder Scrolls releases, will have its own dedicated streaming stick) and Xbox Series X/S).
In regards to Disney +.. you can't purchase or view The Mandalorian or Wandavision on any other platform (legally lol).. and those two shows have contributed to the platform surging to over 100+ million subs..
