2018 build of the game supposedly..
The issue with 76 was that it wasn't developed by the mainline Bethesda studio in Maryland.. it was some offshoot in Austin where Howard hasn't as much involvement.I'm willing to bet Bethesda learned enough from the Fallout 76 dumpster fire that this game is gonna be something awesome. If "Open world sci-fi space exploration" isnt enough to get you pumped, I hate your face.
They've been doing announcements with about a 6 month gap from release, exception to the out of nowhere announcements of star field and ES 6 to divert attention away from their 76 clusterfuck.. So I'm betting if they show it, then its a November 2021 release date.
Time to fap to the pics.

The problem with your first statement is we have no financials to figure out how well fallout 76 went financially. The issue people have had over time assessing why companies continue to do terrible microtransactions is that a few people can make up for literally hundreds of people not even purchasing the game. Here is an example of a guy basically saying the game sucks to him and yet he's bought every pack up until this point: A guy further down in that thread talks about spending 5k in games but "he's not going to do that here." Another guy talks about spending 8k on hearthstone over the years. Point being it doesn't take that many people throwing their money away on FO76 to completely make up for the ones who didn't spend a dime.
In conclusion it's very possible they could literally be thinking that all they have to do is crap out some terrible game and they will get paid anyway and there is no way to know if that's true. Fallout 76 was one of the worst grifts of all time in gaming. They literally reskinned assets from multiple games and just threw them in there. (the dragons are literally just reskinned skyrim assets for ex.) If they made a profit on it why not do it again? Personally I won't trust them until they prove they are worthy of it.

The dumbest person you know is smarter than half of the population. A person is smart, people on the other hand, are bunch of imps. These clowns have zero self awareness. They are the reason games suck nowadays. Fucking whales dumping thousands into mediocre games. Can't they find something better to do?

Howard has already said that Fallout 76 did everything wrong. This is a new IP and they aren't gonna half ass it. Like a guy above me said, 76 was developed by a different team.
That's my guess anyway. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I'm looking forward to this one.

Todd Howard's team has been mostly on point, aside from FO76. FO76 was kind of a unique game in that it was something outside of their wheelhouse and co-developed with other teams. They're definitely not on par with Bioware yet, not even close.I do realize that the more recent Fallout titles have been considered disappointments, but is there any real reason to think of BethSoft as some sort of toxic entity along the lines of EA, Activision etc.? I really haven't bothered with any of their games post-Skyrim so I really don't know, but I was under the impression that Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, the Dishonored series, and even Fallout 76 nowadays are decent games.
Like, obviously I'm not gonna give them 100% benefit of the doubt because it is the modern-day gaming industry after all, but I don't buy the doom and gloom here either
If you make one bad game, you are a terrible company that never did anything good.I do realize that the more recent Fallout titles have been considered disappointments, but is there any real reason to think of BethSoft as some sort of toxic entity along the lines of EA, Activision etc.? Im in the same boat. I love a few of their games like FO3 etc, but nothing has really stuck for me since New Vegas. Skyrim is beloved by all but I thought it was okay with nice gfx/ost but not an all time great. FO4 I dropped after a few hours, just wtf happened to the role playing aspect? Im hoping Starfield can surprise me.I've never been as fond of Bethesda's games as a lot of people, so in the wake of their recent games it's hard for me to get excited about what they have coming up.
I'd like another cool space RPG series though because I don't think Bioware is going to be the one to deliver it.

I liked Morrowind a lot because I'd never played anything like it before, and FO3 was pretty cool. I didn't mind FO4, but I didn't love it either; and I was even more lukewarm on Skyrim.Im in the same boat.
