Law Pelosi desk "invader" asks judge for freedom to sell cars

After he was arrested he called himself a nationalist and said he was ready for a violent death. If I were a judge that might make me think he would be ready to fight to avoid further interaction with the government once he was released on bond.

Lol it’s a good thing you’re not a judge. Also, the judge who didn’t give him bond was also incorrect. The DC circuit doesn’t agree with yours and the judge’s fascist standard for holding someone in jail.

Now compare that to a real insurrection/revolt like CHAZ. Then compare how the perpetrators are being treated. How many deaths were there in CHAZ? How long did CHAZ last? Did CHAZ try and steal land from the US and hold it for several weeks? Are any of those organizers being held without bail?

I still don't feel sorry for the guy, but I hope you spent a few hundred on his signed photos to help him fight the fascists.

He's not being held. He's at home and wants permission to travel to a car show. He was held for a few months after he was arrested. He probably wants to sell more signed photos of himself.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would give a shit about this guy.

He was a part of a successful attack on democracy, and that isn't hyperbole. They successfully delayed the certification of a lawful election.

That might not sound like much to some people but it's a big deal.

No, I don't think I will.

I'm tired of people always wanting to talk about something else instead of admitting something was bad. There were plenty of worse things in the world and I'm happy to talk about them when appropriate, but right now I was replying to someone dismissing the significance of January 6th because he's a conservative.

If you honestly believe a riot that put 150 police officers in the hospital and delayed the certification of a lawful election wasn't a big deal, then just say so. Don't play the comparison game.

lol once people call it an “Insurrection” I realize they aren’t rationale. You honestly think he was planning on taking over the government by sitting in pelosi’s office? What happens the next day? Are they apart of the new government? It looked to me like they were a bunch of idiots fucking things up. Not planning on overthrowing the government, especially since they just left once they were told to leave lol.

the organizers of CHAZ, who actually declared that they were seceding from the US and overtook US land for a period of time and had a quasi government agent treated like that. It’s ridiculous.

And you set a high bond to ensure that they don’t leave or aren’t capable of finding being on the run or give them an incentive to appear for court again so they get the bond back. You take their passports to ensure they do t run. You don’t deny someone their rights.
Just because they looked like they were having fun doesn’t mean it wasn’t highly illegal.
They left when they were told to leave? So the broke in and kicked at doors, sprayed, mace and a cop died but yeah they just left when they were told to leave. No one that whole time they were charging up the stair case toward the officers, did the officer ask them to stop. Totally normal no biggie .

the people of chaz did not secede, the cops left the area , there is actually an investigation going on right now into why the police were told to vacate the Capitol Hill precinct. And no one can find why they were. And what they took over was a public park, not tried to storm the capitol of the strongest country in the world.
But nice whataboutism

Coward. Ignore everytging bad from the left but focus on a few broken windows. Ignore the massive shootings, rapes and beatings of the treasonous CHAZ but focus on 150 out of 20,000 people going to the hospital. and most of all ignore the hypocrisy of the Jan. 6 perps being held without bail for months. Fucking coward.

The January 6th riots were bad. They were mostly peaceful, but had some violence. It was not an insurrection though. But the destruction and violence was minuscule to the actual insurrectionists of CHAZ.

They literally declared an area of Seattle “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” and set up their own government. How is that not an act of succession? And how is trespassing on federal property an insurrection? There were nightly shootings, rapes and beatings at CHAZ that cops couldn’t get to because the “citizens” of CHAZ would block the cops. Totally normal.

As for this particular individual, yeah. He just left and they arrested him later. He wasn’t intent on overthrowing the government lol.

I'm not a coward, I'm just not stupid and I'm tired of the deflection. You point me to a thread where any of those other things are being discussed and I'll happily condemn them. What I won't do is let you deflect from the topic at hand.

And, if I'm honest, I'm curious why anyone would rabidly defend people who attacked your national capitol. People who thought they were having their "1776" moment. Chanting "hang Mike Pence".

Why are these the people you think deserve your support?

So now we’re talkin about chaz ? And all that other stuff is for the courts to decide . And right now they decide to not let him out on bail.

Go ahead and tell me what the aggravating factors are, you stooge.

-This trespass took place at our nations capitol.
-It was done for the express purpose of overturning the election.
-Millions of dollars in property damage
-The guy brought a stun gun and was looking to get at lawmakers
-Five fucking people died
-Countless assaults
-Openly bragging about it and posing for tv cameras.

I'm actually amazed that, as a former prosecutor, you would pretend this trespass was nothing different than a guy mistakingly taking two steps across a property line.

I’m making a direct comparison to how individuals from a right wing riot were wrongfully denied bail to how the perpetrators of a left wing insurrection were treated. It’s night and day. And it’s wrong how the judge held him in jail without bail.

Despite your blatant mischaracterization, the dc circuit ruled that your factors aren’t relevant to denying bond. Likelihood of reoffense, danger to society and likelihood to appear are determining factors.

Despite your blatant mischaracterization
This is literally all you have done in this thread in regards to Jan. 6. You said it was just a few broken windows and trespassing. You completely ignore the fact that people were shitting and smearing shit among other things. All while shedding so many tears about this poor fucking idiot.
