This is a story making the rounds In conservative media. He jerked off on a Zoom call and was fired from the New Yorker. And then CNN picked him up.


Conservatives are mad because it supposedly shows moral bankruptcy.

I personally think that action is enough to not make someone eligible for a job in the public eye.


Kind of gross that CNN would pick him up. The devil is in the details though: it’s unclear if he knew he was on camera and visible.

It would be different if he was jerking off during a normal meeting in an office. He was at his house and the Zoom meeting he was on stopped for a break. He didn't know his camera was still on and he lost his job. I would say the embarrassment and losing a long time job was punishment enough for a dumb mistake like that.

I agree. It’s dumb and as a person in the media he should be more careful. Dude wasn’t and doesn’t deserve to be back imho. At least not this fast.
