I just got a Switch and am Playing Mario Odyssey. After that it will probably be Breath of the Wild, which should take me up to Far Cry 6 in October then it will be back to the Xbox. Other than that I play sports and trivia games with some buddies over some beers.

So I basically stoped everything and completed the management mini-game, making myself plenty of dosh in doing so, which will be weird because Ichiban is still living in the top floor of a whorehouse and trying to get dirt on a holdings company.

I like Eri as a character, but where does she fit in with the team? I'd like to swap her in, but this very much feels like a story of four protagonists, and by adding Eri in, a critical character has to be taken away...

...so she will probably stay on the sidelines...

Oh well, at least I can buy some quality darts now...

Was hoping you were going to post in here recently.. With the Ulitmate Game sale out now Yakuza 0 is on sale as is Kiwami 1 and 2. Seeing as Kiwami is a remake of the first game and 0 is a prequel does it make more sense to start with 0 or go witih Kiwami first?

I want to start with 0 but will I miss anything if I skip out on Kiwami first? Thanks bud.

Also, got that sweet Annis Remus free car. Love the look of those classic Silivia S13's and Rockstar did a good job modeling a facsimilie of it. Also, got an Auto Shop for both my characters. Rockstar kinda of knocked it out of the park with this Tuner update.

Like when i play Rocket League from time to time. I'll shoot and someone will make a cat-like save and i'll hit the directional buttons for quick chat to say "What a save!"... because it was a great save, then literally one second later my teammate will hit the rebound and score, and the guy who originally saved my shot will type "Get cancer [my username]" because he thinks my "What a save!" was a sarcastic comment...

I'm trying to give you a compliment over here!
WHAT A SAVE!
WHAT A SAVE!
WHAT A SAVE!

REEEEE

I bet Psyonix never thought that this would be the ultimate troll against opponents or scrandos you get stuck with who are somehow season tournament winners but play like bronze players in Casual.

Just had a quick go at the latest GTA Online update.

- Find memory sticks with songs for a new radio station. Songs seem a bit boring, or relaxing, from the little I've heard.

- Found only six cars on the Street Auto store, but they're a lot more tunable than the other cars. Extra changes seem to be mostly cosmetic, but car heads should enjoy it. The cars themselves are expensive, over a million with discount and just under two without. I bought a Calico and fully upgraded its performance. It's pretty quick, turns poorly, nothing game-changing.

- I did one contract mission, which had two set-ups and a finale. It reminds me of a heist-lite. The mission was fun, not too difficult but a lot of action. It paid around $160,000...but my associate only got around $50,000 for essentially three missions, and I couldn't alter it. I'd happily keep doing these, if my associates can stomach the poor payouts. Auto Shop costs from $1.5 mil to $1.9 mil without upgrades and $4 mil upgraded. Only found contract missions and car collection missions in here (which I didn't do).

I had a street race. It was shit and it paid shit. I think that they've basically tried to turn the car meet/race into a type of Arena Wars. Winner only got $6000 and I came 5th as my fast but poor turning Calico hit a post...so...yeah...

Characters introduced are bland and irritating. Didn't smirk once.

So yeah, contract missions might be fun, and if you like car tuning, you may like this, but everything else is forgettable...

There are 5 media sticks total. After you find the first 4 there is a hidden one you can get from Moodymanns Gauntlet Hellfire that can randomly appear at the LSCM. As for the in game music it is alright but I only listened to it for an hour before I went back to Spotify and muted in game audio. I miss music like Radio Mirror Park. Also, the change they made to the inventory where you can change and preselect your own custom radio stations is nice but now it moved the snacks and armor down a spot which is super annoying now cause I go there on muscle memory and now I have to do an extra click. WTF Cockstar..

There are 4 more cars on Legendary Motorsports so 10 total and launch. Another 7 are being drip fed. I am stoked for that Dominator ASP. A 90's era Mustang Cobra? Uhm... yes..

The mini-heists (nice surprise reminds me of classic Fleeca Job) are supposed to just be for fun. If you want to grind cash quickly Cayo Perico and Casino Heist is still king. The 1 time 75k bonus payouts for rewards helps boost it up a bit. I did a couple solo already and it's alright but I doubt I play them often to grind unless double money and bored.. The new Sessanta legit part of the business is quick and easy money too. Doesn't pay well either but I will do 'em cause they only take a couple of mins.

The street scene are well designed races and are there for fun. I am a good racer and usually finish first cause scrandos can't drive for shit in races especially with "catchup" on. Still though it's nice to do them for the free Prize car you can win at the LSCM. I picked up the initial Annis and it was fun to mod and free is a good deal. The new test track is a good way to build up your rep easily too.

I like Moodymann IRL but his Kenny persona is a mothafuckah. He is annoying as a mawwfuckah especially with muthafucking Sessanta always wanting to ride his muthafucking dick. I think it's hilarious they censor our language in in game text but Moodyman can drop muthafucking F bombs every 2 seconds when he's not randy for Sessanta's gearbox and she's horny for his camshaft.. and doing his best Sam Jackson shaft impersonation.

I like the update the new business and mini heists were a good surprise I was just expecting the car meet adn the 17 cars. Overall 7/10. Cars are a bit to expensive, characters overall are annoying (I guess Mimi and Hao are okay better than Kenny and Sessanta that's for sure) and the payouts suck but the rest of it is great.

Yakuza 0 is basically the chronological start of the franchise, and Kiwami is a ground up remake of the first game.

Yakuza 0 is also, in many people's opinions, including mine, to be the best game in the franchise, although right now, Like a Dragon is giving it a run for its money.

When jumping from 0 to Kiwami, I thought that Kiwami looked a tiny bit better, but other than that, it felt stripped back in comparison to 0. Looking back, I didn't give Kiwami enough credit, but that's only because 0 was so good.

Also, a lot of the characters you'll see in Kiwami are a big part of 0. You want that backstory going into Kiwami.

So to answer your question, it's a no-brainer for me. 0 happens before Kiwami and is the better game, so I'd start with 0.

I'd actually buy all three, but I've played through them already and I grew up on SEGA. If you want to test the waters though, 0 absolutely should be the first game that you buy.

I bought a Calico and maxed it. Fast, looks good, grippy, shit around corners...

The few mini-heists that I did so far were a lot of fun, in my opinion. They just don't pay very well, and knowing GTA players, I don't see them sticking to it if they're only going to get 50k as help for a few missions. With that said, I enjoyed them a lot.

I only raced once, and it was the type of race that I generally don't do well at, with a car that doesn't turn that well. Rockstar really need to buff up the pay on things like this, because most players just grind to the top, hence why Arena Wars and other adversary modes don't get much love. It's a good concept, but will it attract players to it weeks from now?

Agreed on Moodymann. Sessanta is such an obnoxious character as well, in my opinion. I haven't seen enough of Mimi to get an opinion on her. Same with Hao.

New radio music with the sticks isn't terrible, but boring. No point listening when Non-stop Pop, Kult and Rock exist.

I'll give it a 5. In my opinion, the contract missions save it from being a disaster. I'm not much of a car-head though...

I'm about to get back on playing after a break -- Fifa 21, Spider-Man and Uncharted 5 for PS4 i think i'll play some of them.

Fall Out 4 on survival. Just lost an hour of progress after walking into a bottle cap mine. FML.

Playing Evil Within 2 its surprisingly good, having a blast with it, never even finished the first one.

Solasta. Man, D&D rules are sort of lame. Long rest/short rest. Memorizing spells to use, and all these weird nerd things. At least it looks good.
Downloaded Flight Simulator last night on my Series X. 97 GB in size. Wake up this morning ready to play. 64 GB update. What a time to be alive.

lol me too. Said available at 11… not quite

I decided to start playing FIFA 21 last week because nothing sounded fun. As expected, the number of players on PC is pretty low. I'm having fun, but the number of games with shitty slow connections is frustrating. Ultimate Teams seems like a lot of tedious micromanaging that I'm not interested, so I've been playing Seasons. I'm up to Division 4.

I'm going to give Tribes of Midgard a go tonight.

Unrelated question: @Valhoven is there an Arcade discord server that you know of?

If for our Community, not one officially organised but there are some hosted by members unofficially; I think everyone keeps these offshoot hubs invite-only and gaming-dedicated probably hasn't been done outside of LFG/competitive play under a specific title. I try to corral player GTs in OP where possible, like re: Apex, CoD, or MK to that end.

Yeah, I meant one specific for gaming. I figured it might be cool to have a server to fuck around in games.

Ya I second this, would like a discord server of sherbros and gaming.

Got a taste for some MGSV, so I grabbed the definitive edition on sale. I played it on PS3 way back, so I figured that at the least, I'll get the true experience(although the PS3 version was very well optimized and looked and played just fine). I've got complaints about it's structure, but I'm gonna try my best just to have fun with it, and not focus so much on getting those S ratings for playing conservatively(which I think is half of it's problem). I'm going pure Rambo styles this time. Damn the ratings. I'm gonna be a pure fucking savage and experiment with every weapon and device I get my hands on, and kill everything that moves.

I skipped "Ground Zeroes" and just hopped right into TPP. It looks a little better, but not by much TBH. Draw distances are noticeably deeper, and there are some minor details that pop a little bit more. Load times are faster, and there's no choppy transition when you bring up the codex. That's all I've really noticed so far though. Frame rates are obviously a little more steady, but nothing I would consider game changing or anything.

As for the game itself...that prologue is pure torture. Worse than I remember. It's such a slog, and the cinematics really get in the way. You can barely tell when you're actually in control, and the whole thing is the slowest tutorial section I've played, where you do nothing but crawl around and wait for Kiefer Sutherland to break the fourth wall and tell you to press buttons to do things. Just awful stuff, that in no way prepares you for what you will be doing when the game opens up. I could not wait to hit the end of that shit. Once I did, the memories started flowing back on how tedious the game can be. Scout, mark, infiltrate, eliminate guards, get key item, move on. Yeesh. Come on Mother Base. Let's get this shit going proper. I want to turn this into the wacky wonderland of death it can be.
