Cora is an idiot for taking out Eovaldi out after exactly 100 pitches. I’ve said it a million times. There is zero evidence that throwing more than 100 pitches is somehow dangerous. Completely arbitrary nonsense.

If just seems like the right answer maybe they want to not be associated with the name anymore but it isn’t going to erase the long history of the team.

This is pretty funny. He lists all of the previous names of the Cleveland team.

That is pretty funny and I get what he’s saying. I agree for the most part but I wouldn’t use previous name changes as an example of why it shouldn’t matter to fans. When those previous name changes happened over 100 years ago and within the first 20 years of the teams establishment. They have a looooong history of being named the Indians and probably should have redesigned their logo and name awhile ago but now they are stuck as the guardians lol

tbh Guardians sounds like the name of a team from the midwest that has been around forever and has a pretty lame name but it is too late to change it for historical reasons. So in a way it kinda fits a team from Cleveland even if the logos themselves absolutely blow.

jesus, I hate this tatis
can't we have kobe back and have this bitch die in a copter crash?
for real though, guy is a grandstanding tool.
leading league in HRs notwithstanding

but I'm watching them play the A's and Kuiper, admittedly an inferior announcer, keeps referring to him as an 'entertainer'.
and he's right. the guy mugs and cajoles with defensive players when on base.
in my day, o jeez the old man rant, skilled players were more modest.
they got the job done and were more circumspect.

Yeah I disagree with the traditionalist take. Baseball is dying and guys like Tatis actually bring some entertainment for the younger crowd, baseball needs to cultivate not banish it. I'm all for Baez type celebrations lol

well, that is a good point I guess. it is indeed dying. my neighbor is a kids bb coach and is always saying that.

I see both sides, I like to think I'm young enough to side with the younger crowd lol. But I can see how the game has been played a certain way and guys who have been fans for a lifetime hate to see it change (ruined)
