I don't see Max winning the WDC after these last two races. Still a lot of races left but I think Lewis is too blessed.

Ricciardo got 12th. Men’s can just not figure out the car at all it seems on a consistent basis.

Tough to say, Red Bull was better in quite a few races before Mercedes pushed back with two qualifying wins (can't judge the races...). I think Mercedes has a lot of work to do if they want to win.

Outside of a mechanical DNF which do not happen to Lewis, he will win Spa and Monza easy. Whatever upgrades they did in Silverstone have helped a lot and Bottas/Lewis killed two of Red Bull's engines ensuring Max/Checo have to take a 10 place grid penalty at some point. Mercedes/Lewis for sure have the upper hand now.

For once someone challenges Mercedes and just keeps getting completely fucked though no fault of his own. It's pretty depressing to watch.

I’m just thinking if Lewis pitted during the formation, he most likely wouldn’t have got to the front for the pit exit in first. He still would have won imo, but he is the first box and everyone coming in wouldn’t have allowed him a safe release. Ocon would have been free further up. But Lewis still gets past him on track.

In the end, it was a good race and glad to see ocon win and seb on the podium. Max crying about a merc crashing into him, like Bottas could plan that.

I wouldn't say that Max had no fault at all last race, mainly Lewis for sure, but especially @ralphc1 posted some good stuff about the incident.

Generally and like anyone should I want all sports decided as fairly as possible.

Everyone talking about karma is funny. If karma is real, this has been karma catching up to max for being aggressive the past few years.

I wouldn't say that Max had no fault at all last race, mainly Lewis for sure, but especially @ralphc1 posted some good stuff about the incident.

At least Lewis screwed his own race where Max just had his tire explode to no fault of his own. Lewis has been bailed heavily multiple times this year when he has made huge mistakes. Max really hasn't put a foot wrong when it comes to hurting his own races, with the only noteworthy one I can think of is Bahrain.

That wasn't karma, Lewis got incredibly lucky there even with his fuck up at the restart. The race was a wash instead of dropping even more points to Max.

I don't think for one second what Bottas was intentional, anyone who does is delusional. He did technicallt get taken out by a Merc drivers mistake though and I think he has every right to be frustrated about it. I don't think it's whining but I do see your point.

Definitely agree that Lewis had far more luck this year. Not only he, but the team also made some pretty big mistakes. It's pretty ridiculous that he's ahead right now going into the break.

Can't argue that Bottas is the ultimate wing man. Twice this year Lewis has benefited from Bottas crashes.

How good was Rosberg on the commentary desk tho? So much better than Brundle. I hope we get more of him, his insights and knowledge, especially with these modern cars are great to hear.

He was real good. Good to have a champ perspective for sure. I’m always curious to see what commentary people are watching. Rosberg should continue.

Alonso was amazing. In the post race interview with Sky he said that Lewis should have had him much sooner but Lewis was making mistakes on the final two corners. These are the fights I want to see between Max/Lewis to decide races. Hopefully we get some without end results like Silverstone.

He needs to be there for every race. Nico's insight plus his willingness to speak his mind is much better than anyone else.

Yeah Lewis was pretty bad in the last sector the entire race (at least when trying to overtake), it already hurt him vs. Gasly at the beginning which caused the early stop. Not even sure if he overtakes Alonso without the mistake.
