Are you being forced to take the vaccine at work?

It was highly encouraged at my work. The HR guy literally walked into my office and asked if I am vaccinated or "one of those guys" that won't get it. He then told me the company would like to say the entire executive team is vaccinated so it would be preferable if I was. No pressure...

If the executive team is vaccinated, they have nothing to fear from you.

Ask them if they’re familiar with HIPPA laws and tell them you don’t have to disclose any of your medical information to them.

Of course you can get Covid if you're vaccinated, this isn't my point. My point is that your stay in hospital isn't as likely to be as serious as an unvaccinated person. Thus it's only a matter of time before insurance companies are going to start saying "Show me the proof of vaccination."

It's all about them saving money.

You can still wind up in the hospital for a stay even if vaccinated too. And it’s disingenuous to suggest that it’s more likely if you’re unvaccinated -you’re only more likely if you have precexisting conditions. Most people are asymptomatic.

It was determined here that it is legally acceptable to ask employees for vaccination status. The employee can decline to answer, but that wouldn't have helped my situation.

Are you in the US? I haven’t heard anyone being able to flat out skirt HIPPA laws.. btw, it’s not against HIPPA to ask, it’s against HIPPA to force disclosure. Asking makes it voluntary. Sounds like you can still say ‘I decline to answer that question’

Well, good thing you are still separate organisms. So my statement stands.
The issue was really the company wanting to say the ENTIRE exec team is vaccinated. Not being part of the team on the these types of things is a bad career move. But yes, there is a choice...sort of.

Dont want an inflamed heart, blood clots or limp dick so no thanks

I was forced to get vaccines and prove it back in the 80s for school.

Not getting vaxxed = killing other people
Wait isnt everyone saying that vaccinated people still get covid and still pass covid to others? If that's true then how can the unvaccinated be blamed for killing people when EVERYONE is transferring it?

Never let facts get in the way of White Belt Soviet revisionist history comrade
To be far modern medicine has grown leaps and bounds from the 50s. As a example look at computers or cell phones. Something that took years on the 50s shouldnt take so long these days. But i understand the fear that people have

I took the vaccine, only because I travel and getting the covid overseas would be a gigantic pain in the ass!...However if I were to stay at home I wouldnt have taken it, or maybe I would have, I dont know....I was in zero rush to take it..but I think its complete absolute BS that people are forced to take it...its literally taking out your freedoms

Weird assumption just because I said naturally protected.

Link me to proof that a vaccine gives you a lot more protection than having had the virus. I've seen doctors disagree with your assertion so I highly doubt it's as settled as you think.

No point vaccinating those who’ve had COVID-19: Cleveland Clinic study suggests

The study findings reveal that individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection do not get additional benefits from vaccination, indicating that COVID-19 vaccines should be prioritized to individuals without prior infection.

Ahh, I see. Can't they just lie? Doesn't sound like the kind of thing you as a company would get caught out on, or like a criminal offense/breach of contract or whatever to lie about. But then again I live in the free world (Sweden).

You should really brush up on your HIPPA regs because you're about to get some Sherdoggers canned from their jobs..

HIPAA and Proof of Vaccine Status

"Vaccination information is classed as PHI and is covered by the HIPAA Rules. However, HIPAA only applies to HIPAA-covered entities – healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses – and their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated in order to allow that individual to work without wearing a facemask, that is not a HIPAA violation as HIPAA does not apply to most employers."

Is it a HIPAA Violation to Ask for Proof of Vaccine Status? (hipaajournal.com)

When you take care of these sick people every day and see firsthand what the virus can do, and then hear people make light of it, you stop having sympathy for the dumb.

Oh please . . . stuff happens. Folks are free to make their own decisions when it comes to risk vs reward for this virus. Just because they choose differently from you doesn't mean they're dumb.
