Crime Cuomo resigns

Was it the right thing for him to resign?

As is Newsom, really highlights how evil, morally bankrupt and stupid the (D) base is...

This is not specific to Democrats, it is reflection of our entire political system. Kentucky still votes for Mitch McConnell, the Republican base still supports Trump, etc. People have an allegiance to established politicians, regardless of how morally bankrupt they are.

I’m not really talking about either fringe on either side which I agree with you. I do think if Mitch had the same accusations his base wouldn’t support him in the same way. The left hates Mitch for different reasons. My left buddies think he’s the fucking anti christ.

Why now?

He had to resign over the Sexual Harassment crap, because the last thing the Democratic Party wants is him getting popped over what he did during CV-19 with the Nursing Homes. That would mean many Democratic Party Governors would get nailed with him.
The funny thing is, there are people so drunk on Cuomo's Kool-Aid (and I don't know why) in New York that they will come up with the most random explanations to excuse what Cuomo did to the Nursing Homes.

Before the metoo shit, they were going "well, where else was he supposed to put those CV-19 patients?" or blaming the Nursing Home staff, even though Cuomo was warned beforehand. They loved that this metoo nonsense came about to divert attention from what should be Cuomo being brought up on federal charges for the death of 10k+ Nursing Home patients.

Imagine changing your mind based on new information. Fucking blowing your mind, right?

Independent and Anti-establishment media has been criticizing Cuomo since the start of 2020. The mainstream media chose to ignore all the problems with him and hold him up as a hero. This is problematic and worth discussing.

how sweet to watch the left accuse anyone and everyone of shit like this for the past 4 years and now one of their biggest heroes is toppled by the same.

I don't think you understand "the left". He was a big name in the democratic party.

Not to mention, many people knew about the Nursing Home scandal since Summer 2020 and the party of "we hold our own accountable" only started to address it in the beginning of 2021...and then they ignored it for this metoo nonsense.

He's one of the worst things to happen in politics. He led the Republican party into becoming the party of no and obstructing Congress from legislating, even stuff the Republican base approves of. Also I guess it's now the norm that if the senate is controlled by the opposing party of the president, he doesn't get to nominate supreme Court justices.

Fuck New Yorkers. He's still leading in the polls there.

The polls have been lying to us for the better part of a decade.

If the polls were correct, we would be in the 2nd term of Hillary Clinton.

When I was in college, I dated a girl who was a pollster for Gallup. She showed me the techniques used to get the answer the people paying for the poll wanted.

Don't believe prepaid polls.

I thought he'd fight it out.

Resigning was obviously the morally correct thing to do. Politically it was probably a nail in his coffin. I expected he'd continue to do politically smart, but morally reprehensible things.

Look at the difference in treatment Kavanaugh's accuser, Blassey-Ford, received and compare that to the treatment Biden's accuser, Tara Reade, received. Tell me what you think the differences are.

What unequal treatment are you referring specifically?

When Blasey-Ford’s allegations came out she had the president of the USA tweeting accusing her of lying. I wouldn’t exactly call that good treatment.

Reade was exposed for having a history of lying that included lying under oath. Unfortunately that if her allegations were true this history would automatically cloud them.

If there was unequal or unfair treatment it probably had more to do with the quality and character of the accuser than political affiliations. It’s unfortunate but certainly a reality.
