I dont even consider khabib an all-time GOAT tbh.

I dont think he belongs on that list either with the other fighters. More longevity at the top.
You guys don’t consider Khabib the LW GOAT? I think he’s the GOAT at 155, and when you’re talking about *the* GOAT, the participants in that debate should be the 8 divisional GOATs.

The real question is why are there only 7 GOATs on the list? Where is Bantamweight @MXZT ?

lmao that's a good one. Who would that be Cejudo?

Because that's as simpleton logic as you can get. Actually Frankie Edgar, who is the same size than Cruz, who I assume you consider BW GOAT, has a case over Dom in this convo for obvious reasons watching who he did beat. You can cling into stats though.

Lets include the straweight goat btw

Lol @ thinking that’s simpleton logic. How could a fighter be the greatest of all time, if they aren’t even the greatest fighter in their weight class? Obviously they cannot. My point was simply that it doesn’t make sense to consider Khabib the LW GOAT and then say he doesn’t belong in the overall GOAT discussion. Any GOAT belongs in the discussion.
Regarding Frankie, It’s true that if we started listing who we think are the best fighters of all time, you could have a fighter from one division who isn’t a divisional GOAT (like Frankie or Hendo let’s say) ranked higher than a fighter who is a divisional GOAT.
My point was simply that Khabib belongs in the discussion. I’ve already said that his resume is a bit skimpy.

They all deserve much more respect than to even be questioned as overrated

First and foremost, JJ is the most dominant LHW of all time. His come up seemed like GOAT and he buzzsawed everyone. His creativity, all his massive physical advantages, and his psychopathy. Ever since his fight with Reyes it seems like he's very far away from fighting

With that said, those with PED violations are askerisked for life. That's my opinion at least. Anderson Silva could be in the same conversation bit I feel Silva was a better fighter p4p
Silva had bad wrestling jon has goat wrestling

Yes it's simpleton as fuck because I could say who ever is regarded as the straweight goat should be in the same conversation than Fedor because he is "a divisional goat" according to your uber simpleton logic mate

By the time Frankie was defeating legit LWs for a championship there wasnt even BW division and if there was, it had barely any money on it so thats how irrelevant it was in prize fighting since its called prize fighting for a reason. that's why your line of thinking is simpleton as fuck

Whole lot of noobs have some awful opinions on Khabib.

Surprise surprise, the one that beat the shit out of Conor is overrated. Fangirls are too predictable.

Jon has bad boxing, Silva has goat boxing.

Also, Jones failed to take down bloated MW Santos on one leg among others

Well I think Khabibs resume is a little top heavy and has a fair bit of padding, but he certainly wasnt overrated in terms of his actual fighting ability.

Perfect answer.

None are overrated based on the eye test. We could watch these guys fight and see they were just on a different level. But Khabib's resume could cause some to call him overrated simply b/c he didn't fight that many top level guys for that long compared to some of the others.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedor_Emelianenko Look at those accolades on his way to 31-1 before being beaten legitimately over his 9 year prime. Still has a winning record of 8-6 after 10 years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khabib_Nurmagomedov 12 years to get to 29-0 and then left once he started fighting top guys regularly. Any criticisms of Fedor's record can be applied more readily to Khabib and he just doesn't have the bodyu of work. He got the title but he is probably the biggest could of been in the sport.

Khabib has the weakest claim to be listed with the others. Any argument you make against them besides PEDS is more readily applied to Khabib. His best wins aren't aging well, but were great when he got them.
I thought it was who is the most over rated.

They're ranked accordingly imo. From what I've read most people consider GSP, Anderson, Jones or Fedor the all time GOAT. I think Aldo is underrated if anything.
