i just hope he didn't mess with his weight too much, he should stay lean and mean if you ask me, putting on lots of muscle is NOT going to help him at HW

Lol @ obliterating Santos. It was a split decision over a crippled MW. He barely beat Gus the first time because he struggled with his reach and height, he ended up pounding him out in the rematch to avoid that. Yes, he did beat OSP but that was considered to be one of his more underwhelming performances. He's going to struggle to accomplish much against Francis or Gane. The former's power and strength will prevent Jones from bullying him and the latter's speed and kicking game can easily negate Jones' reach.
 
Jon , first , has to get over being terrified of fighting Ngannou- lol. Jones sees the massive payday ahead of him . Dana has 2 headaches in front of him . He has to sign Francis to a pretty significant deal and then he has to deal with Jones who is really the only fight that makes sense .

Lol at all u clowns who thought Gane was going to " handle" Franny .

Ngannou will ko/tko the closest thing to that can be called " goat" in Jones ..... unless Jon gets the special " brock treatment" and he gets to deliver his specimen instead of getting handed a special cup and does his business in front of an agent of USADA.

.....nor was he at the post presser ( from what I've read ) to field questions after one of the biggest heavyweight title tilts in quite sometime ( not to mention 125 title turn) ?????

So now - we have no depth at 170, 185 ,205 and already lacked depth at heavy and who knows how long I have to wait to see Jon Jones get his comeuppance.

Jones has a kicking game and speed as well, but we have yet to see him at heavyweight so it's hard to know if it will transfer over when <Steiner01>, so we'll see who's faster if that match up happens.
Should be a good show if we get it.

Jones hasn't destroyed anyone since he beat up a washed Gustaffson 4 years ago
 
Ngannou was injured. If he wasn't he would have finished Gane in the stand up. Jones has little chance to win.

Gane could be a complete fighter if he moves to US. He needs a lot of work on his wrestling and BJJ but he was just schooling Ngannou on the feet.

Jones won't even fight Cormier who he beat at a lower weight class and he's beating Ngannou?

Jon cons:
* layoff
* HW virgin
* last two performances were not great. Combined with the layoff we don't know how good he is anymore.

Jones props:
* license to do PEDs
* not getting outgrappled
* never been rocked. Doesn't get swarmed - he always moves away and stays safe.
* People feel like he's on a career tail end skid but he's 1 year younger than Ngannou
* with 14 title fights he was bound to do poorly sooner or later, we don't know if Reyes was just a bump and not a trend.

It was stacked during low skill era of UFC where the likes rampage were big names. Modern MMA is more skilled with new gen fighters like Reyes that can work with Jones's size and length better. Ontop of that Jones seems less effective as a wrestler than he was in the past. Idk if it's because of drug testing or what but without that pedigree he is just a guy with poor striking that lost to Santos and Reyes and then left the division to see adding muscle at a higher weight will compensate for lost explosiveness.

OSP was a short notice fight , and he beat santos on the feet quite easily but uncle Chael said it best Jones will be the champ
