News Jon Jones' Advisor Meeting With UFC To Negotiate Heavyweight Title Fight - With Or Without Ngannou

Eventually Jones will return cause he's gonna need money. With the amount of time he's missed due to sitting out and suspensions and stuff thats millions and millions of dollars you dont get back in lost fights. Even if he's not getting what he wants or thinks he deserves he'll get a decent enough offer and he'll take it esp if UFC thinks Ngannou is gone. They'll give Jones little more to get him into a HW title fight since Jones is a bigger draw than Francis.
 
So assuming Jon does fight, the million dollar question is if he's picking old ass stipe or wrestless Ganes.
 
Why are so many in this thread angry that Jones is now publicly signaling he is ready to come back? Because of Ngannou's impasse with the UFC Jon now has more leverage to seek a higher payday than at any other time in the past three years.

Jones is not fighting for an interim belt, if he reaches a deal with the UFC they are going to strip Ngannou and that will be the end of it. Would not be surprised if the UFC intentionally had Jons representative put out this statement to put pressure on Francis to re-sign ASAP.

Not sure why so many believe Stipe would be next in line to fight Jones. If it is for an undisputed title the UFC is not going to put a fighter who has lost to Ngannou, especially not one who was knocked out by him, in an undisputed title fight. Derrick Lewis, who has a win over Ngannou, would be the perfect opponent assuming he wins his upcoming fight.

Since when did Jon become unbeatable? Dominick Reyes beat him pretty soundly despite the erroneous judges decision. Not only would Derrick have a chance to knock Jon out, but Curtis Blaydes would absolutely smoke Jon. If Gane fixes the grappling holes in his game, and there is no reason why he wouldn't, surely he easily beats Jon who cannot hang with him on the feet.

If Jon comes to HW it will be for the payday because he knows he is going to take a few Ls. He might grow into the division but if he does not it will come at the cost of his legacy in the sport.

I still think the fight will happen eventually, he probably needs more money to live the lifestyle he wants for another 70 years. Not to mention he legitimately gained a bunch of weight, people totally dismissing the possibility are so wrong lol.
 
An immediate title shot would've been justified but it's been two years of voluntary leave. I don't this he deserves it anymore.

In Winter 2020 he said he would fight in mid-2020. In mid 2020 he said he would fight later 2020 and so on.

A broken clock is right twice a day, and that's assuming he even fights. It's not a coincidence at all this is happening now.

dude stop it, it never works when you want to make your stupid posts personal. its not personal. hw has always been a topic in his career, hes teased it and said it was imminent multiple times and hes never done it.

fuck this guy, but those are the facts regardless of how anybody feels about him.

oh and also, hes never shown that hed even be a threat to guys like stipe, ever. but thats my opinion.
