It was a staged event. Literal actors. You probably never watched an in depth frame by frame breakdown from inside the capital. I would suggest doing that. The entire thing was fake.

Obviously the mobs were real and the fighting going on outside was real but the events inside the capital was fake and the people involved were actors.

The capitol hasn't been stormed by a mob of our own citizens before. There have been individual threats, but not like this. Honestly, we got the best outcome from what could've happened. Security would have been justified in using force to protect and resist.

I think people were mostly against spending so much on an overengineered wall. It was a stupid campaign promise that Mexico was never going to pay for. It would probably have been a lot cheaper to set up those large steel "caltrop" barriers surrounded by wire and then spend the rest of the money on border personnel and equipment like drones and vehicles. I think the best thing he did was having the migrants wait in Mexico until their cases could be reviewed.
