Can we talk about Aaron Pico's corner destroying his shoulder

Corners have pop shoulders back in...but they did it differently and didn't reef on it like that.

Yeah, I said in my first post I have seen corners do that before but smoothly, that was crazy.

What a bunch of assclowns just live to fight another day they very likely did way more damage than good.

What? this happens regularly in a lot of sports and most of the time you cna just pop it back in. Let's not forget that his coach is also a licensed chiropractor

One of the most embarrassing, unprofessional things I have ever seen in MMA

And I was saying this live as it happened, no hindsight 20/20 shit… blows my mind a corner that experienced could be so dumb

I’d imagine his shoulder is completely fucked now… all for nothing
Its completely fine... a little sore he said

Pretty sure they did. It was a broken bone not a dislocated shoulder ...
Well you are wrong... it was just dislocated, put back in place that evening and Pico said today he is fine. Still a little sore

When have you seen this before?

Closest thing I can think of is Royval/Moreno. Shoulder popped out during a scramble and left Royval unable to defend himself during the fight. After the loss you can see Marc Montoya casually pop Royval's shoulder back into place and he seemed fine. IIRC he even insisted that he would've been fine if he could have made it out of the round and that he was even trying to pop it back in himself mid-fight or something. Apparently some kind of lingering preexisting injury that shows up often even in training? I dunno.

That said, I do agree with the sentiment of the doctor. Unless your cornerman is well-trained/experienced in reductions and the ringside physician is able to examine the limb afterward to ensure functionality then this is ultra sketchy and it's better to just take the L and not risk a career-altering injury.

Was there a report finally on it that I missed? I had been looking for follow up on it but wasn't seeing it.

They said in the video it was a dislocated shoulder and not a broken bone but either way the corner should be fined for negligence.

My bad. I read somewhere that it was a broken collarbone.

The guys were more or less doing the right thing to put the shoulder in place as Pico wanted to continue fighting.

All good, it looked pretty gnarly either way. And even without a break all that mangling of the shoulder trying to put it back in still could have done a lot more damage. Hopefully the damage is minimal.

I have seen cornerman do that before, that's all I was saying. I wasn't analyzing anything. If you spent less time posting and more time actually watching the sport you constantly post about , which is pretty sad, you'd know this happens. Fucking clown
You think that was done properly? What a fucking idiot you must be. hahah I'll take the word of the MD in the video over some fat Shertard. haha

Good example, but yeah as you said, this is just a completely different thing.

Gibson was aggressively yanking his arm over and over trying to get it back before the round, then the round starts and they leave him in there with a fucked up shoulder, then Pico starts swinging his limp, fucked up arm around before the ref FINALLY calls the doctor in to stop the fight…. never seen anything like it, Bellator has a way of leaving you wondering what the fuck you just watched.
