UFC WMMA: The way to watch

Give me:

  • Whole Fight Nights of just WMMA. No WMMA on the other cards.

  • What we have now. A few WMMA fights on a card.

  • None. I don’t like WMMA.

Results are only viewable after voting.
Not on the main card unless it's a guaranteed banger.

I have watched more WMMA than the average bear. The drop-off in talent is ridiculous. There are maybe 4-5 girls per division worth watching and the rest is completely amateur level.

Anything outside of the top 5 should be on early prelims or a separate card.
W145 should be vanquished forever.
W135 is a fucking hot mess and really shouldn't be broadcast much at this point.

UFC does it all the time with both men's and women's fights though. I've seen shitty low calibre/amateurish fights on prelims and main cards from both sexes. To me that's a problem with UFC's choice to showcase lower talent in general and nothing to do with W/M. I agree they should hold higher standards for the fighters and fights they choose to broadcast though.
To me its funny because I'm enjoying many high level women's fights where the skill is clearly higher than it was for men in pro mma 15 years ago. Yet you have people who loved watching 15 years ago saying that today's women athlete have no skill and are boring to watch.

How dare you? It's true but heaven forbid you make that valid point?

Plenty of men in the ufc don't belong but far more women that are there don't.

They need to revive WEC or something where they can put these below UFC level fighters. (Men and women). If they prove they're good enough, they get the call up

Have you considered the possibility that they are trying to get more female fans/consumers because females are 50% of the population? Male sport fans are a saturated demographic, they already have all male consumers they can get.
 
no men, stand alone wmma cards on espn+. no wmma on a ppv. ratings on espn+ will dictate abolishing the league as whole or move it to PPV status. keep men and womens sports seperate.

I would be very very happy to get rid of the sub par men with the sub par females.

Where do I sign that bill into law?


You are correct, the UFC bought up the regional orgs and just have regional fights on UFC shows.

They should revive one of the brands they put out of business as a feeder. Have Thursday or Friday shows for free and fill it with the scrubs and go back to 2 GOOD QUALITY UFC shows a month.

It's not 15 years ago though.

Men with 15 years ago skills would get fucking murdered. But women with 15 years ago skills get slots on main cards.

The talent gap is enormous.

As I said earlier, I enjoy the highest levels of wmma. The Valentina, JJ, Weili, type fights, but the drop-off in talent is SO BAD.

I've seen better striking technique on reddit street fights than some UFC wmma title fights. Julianna Pena can't throw a combo worthy of a YMCA boxercise class, and she is one of the most accomplished women in the game.

But as I said above, I'd be glad to lose the sub par men too. The best MMA org in the world should feature elite level talent only and a legit half the roster belongs in the regional shows. The UFC is bloated and watered down as fuck. Hopefully they end w145 and either make some cuts or break out the checkbook to scoop up some of the solid talent fighting outside the UFC.

Right! At least basketball fans dont lie about the wnba being amazing. Nba fans laugh at the wnba, but wmma fans try to pretend like the womens fighters are just as good as the mens. I’d love to see a stacked all wmma card and see how it does.
