Colby outstruck Leon 109 to 65 and had 4 times more control time...(And had a broken foot)

Colby laid a giant egg. The reality is he's completely irrelevant now and UFC will won't be catering to him going forward

Not at all saying Colby won.

He didn't win.

But this may be cause for a rematch after Colby beats Wonderboy.

Colby simply started his domination too late.

"According to the UFC’s stats provider, Covington outstruck Edwards 109-65 overall and had about four times as much control time."
Awww.....is this the 9-1-1 Colby gender fluid safe space thread where you whiny crybabies give each other hugs? Cry more, you nonbinaries!

Colby didn't deserve that title fight and did nothing to deserve a rematch. Give me a fucking break.

54 of those shots were in the 5th round. He was credited with a single sig strike during an entire 3;03 of control time. That single sig strike was a body shot at range in that round.

He barely won the 5th round on control time. If that triangle had been a little more threatening you could argue the round for Leon under the scoring criteria.

You know you made this argument but it doesn't rebut anything OP said.
OP said leon won.
He just stated colby had won in sig strikes and control time just turned on the pace late

Yeah that's why the fight was scored 4-1 for Leon.
Leon won every other metric in every other round and only just barely lost the 5th.

Colby lost under every scoring criteria in MMA in every other round and was almost subbed in round 5. He spends 30 seconds defending that sub and he loses the 5th even. Control time is scored below everything else on the ground. 1 round doesn't win a fight. It refutes it in every way.

Those stats are misleading. Significant strikes is what counts and Leon landed more significant strikes overall. Colby landed a 54 strikes in round 5 which was 50% of his total strikes, but only 1 of those strikes was a sig strike. So he didn't outstrike Leon.

Out struck and out wrestled.
5 mins of control time.

Settle down. There is no way Leon fans can spin this into a W for Leon

Especially when he ended the fight lying dead on the octagon.

Colby clearly lost. Leon didn't look particularly great or anything either. I think Usman and Covington aged out and Leon is just the first guy to pick the bones of the aging established top guys, not unlike Chris Weidman did with Anderson, Machida, and Vitor. I don't think he's as good as advertised and Shavkat I think is going to prove it.

LOL, sure he was. Colby fans seem to be as delusional as he is. Colby didn't out strike anyone and didn't do s##t with his wrestling.

49-46, Leon W.

Since we're talking about hypotheticals, if Colby had knocked down Leon 4 times in the 5th round it would have been a 10-6 round

But he didn't. And Leon's triangle wasn't threatening

Once he beats the man that is almost 41 years old, 1-3 in his last 4 and has clearly demonstrated the kryptonite and weakness in his game? The game that colby( maybe still) has ?
Fuck that. Colby needs to beat a top well rounded credible threat and even then he Needs more. Let's see if he can even be active, the only thing active about colby is his fucking gums that never stop flapping.
Wonder guy ist taking that fight

It would be foolish

I’m not a Colby fan. But ppl act like he got absolutely steamrolled in this matchup. It was closer than ppl seem to want to admit.
No it wasn't. He was outclassed the entire fight and only found a tiny bit of success when Leon engaged him in the wrestling.

Colby couldn't touch Leon, if he had stood up instead of going for that triangle Leon would have comfortably won the 5th round also.

This was the most outclassed, out gameplanned, out techniqued, etc, Colby has ever been in a fight.

This guy's so thick.
First of all Colby was injured.
Second, Leon didn't do anything except leg kicks.

Colby is doing an interview one day later, not a scratch on his face.
