Not having a long term plan is what kept us in Iraq for 20 years. Focusing on the short term plan makes it so you don't have many good options for long term plans.

I gave you an example in that last post that should have been sufficient enough for you to understand how bad the comparison is. I can't think for you, sir. It is completely unreasonable to expect an extensive postwar history breakdown on Germany and Japan in a thread about Israel and Hamas when there are much more recent and similar examples in the Middle East that show how these things tend to end.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt with being genuine posters I can't help but notice that someone shifted from posting almost entirely pro corporate UFC material to suddenly posting almost all pro Israeli material.

Lets be honest here, even if they WEREN'T in hiding the IDF would still shoot kids. Because they just never know if that kid may or may not be a Hamas member, so they like to play it safe.

I wasn't making a comparison of war as a whole. I largely would rather avoid comparisons unless they're pretty spot on so that I don't waste my time arguing on the minutiae of whatever random, unrelated thought some disingenuous person here has.
Otherwise, I'd be debating stupid things like the definition and usage of slurs, or spend pages debating the Marshall plan, or Japanese culture and geography.
But if there is going to be a comparison, when it comes to this situation, the U.S. wars in the M.E. are far more analogous than WW2.
As I said, the comparison wasn't about the war as a whole, it was about the effects of bombing and killing civilians while trying to fight organizations in bombed out, shithole cities, while having no long term plan or goal for stability or peace.
