Something that has been completely overlooked is how weary Chito was of O'Malley's power even after the injury.

Even when O'Malley was down to one usable leg, Chito was still backpedalling and shelling up.

So being cautious of a wounded fighter is the same as being weary? Or did you mean to imply he was scared to fight him?

He wasn't stupid enough to rush in thinking the fight was as easy as landing one shot and calling it a win.

If you've been watching MMA long enough, you'd know that hurt fighters are still dangerous and can get incredibly reckless and desperate.

Chito knew the leg was compromised, but to what degree? For all he knew, he would have to keep damaging it until it lead to an opportune moment, which is exactly how it did play out...

The first round was close but chito blocked many strikes and rolled with most of the rest. He only consistently took leg kicks that had no effect, didn’t even stumble him a bit. Munhoz in my eyes was more affected by the strikes chito was landing, more stunned, and I had chito landing more significant strikes in that round. That’s what I saw when I first watched it and both times since I’ve watched that round. Round 2 can probably go to munhoz and then obviously the 3rd round was clearly chito

I may be a little not right in the head, but I really found it a funny implication that someone could get kicked in the taint and have it illicit foot paralysis.

in my language the terms are much more differentiate than in english, so i didn't get it until i saw "peroneal" written in a comment.

Yeah, as a native english speaker the original post lightly hinted that Sean's foot went numb from being kicked in the taint muscle adjacent to his butthole, a pretty clever play on words, intentionally pretending to fumble those two words which sound alike but have different meanings.

Or is your country just that much better educated that you know anatomy terms in multiple languages. Most native english speakers barely should get credit for speaking english and sadly have pretty limited vocabularies imo.

It hasn't been overlooked it's just not worth talking about. Tons of fighters have been finished even after hurting their opponent. Chito kept his composure and just waited for the right time to attack and he won.

italian and actually i used to be a health and social care worker for a while, but i learnt about the whole anatomy in highschool.
