khazmat has to be the most overrated in the sport...i needa see him against some top tier mws to considerhow high his ceiling is. throw him in the cage with strickland,izzy, cannonier, whittaker etc. i think the perfect fight for him though would be costa. both of them are inactive as hell, costa seemed to show promise in the whittaker fight too

Its about context too...yeah I dont think Khamzat will be the next GOAT and it was too soon to refer to him as Khabib 2.0 aka Evil Khabib.

However, I keep reiterating it was 100% certain Usman beats him hands down. I love how Usman saying he was training the whole time in case of Costa injury for Khamzat got erased into Usman off the couch on a few days notice. Yes, there is some truth to it but the bigger issue is it was a 3 round fight.

Khamzat is good enough to beat Burns and Usman unimpressively. I dont see him doing much at MW. Only a matter of time before one of these guys weathers off his wrestling storm and TKO/KO's him. I dont see him doing anything special at MW. Hope I'm wrong tho

You asked how he got a 10-8 round in the first round and then bring up round 2 & 3. That's not how rounds are scored.
Not sure how you can ask why a 10-8 in the first. With 4:35 out of 5:00 control time with 61-5 difference in total strikes is about as clear 10-8 as possible.

lol what? He dominated Usman which is why it was a 10-8 and almost choked him out. Usman never came close to winning that fight and couldn’t even score a takedown which is his bread and butter. A few jabs doesn’t win you fights, it’s obvious khamzat got tired after ragdolling Usman so he took the 2nd round off then ragdolled him again in the 3rd.

Usman had ZERO significant moments in the fight. He was in survival mode

Too much hype, so when he doesn't walk through someone, it doesn't meet the unrealistic expectations. It's not like Usman and Burns are bums, both solid wins against top guys. Anyone who thinks the Usman fight was a draw or loss is crazy.

saying that he has goat potential when he's nearly 30 and has only beaten like what two t10 ranked opponents is just glazing to the highest order. the guy is fun to watch even as someone that does not particularly love grappling but his cardio is really really weak. it is a big hole in his craft that is going to get abused by tougher competition. that being said, give him a t5 mw right now and see how he performs that dictates if he's the actual title material or just a character fighter like nate diaz.
