It's no different to someone with split personality disorder - it's a mental illness. These people need to be met with ridicule and scorn.

It used to be a mental illness. They have won that battle on making just about everyone accept it. I am no different. Out of politeness, I try to accommodate how someone would like to be referred to, but I will be damned if I am going to feel shame at being confused when they, themselves, are confused.

I refuse to do it. I deliberately use their name - you can tell it irks them a bit, because it's kind of like a passive aggressive refusal to take part in their little charade. And it's the forcing others to take part, that gets them off - if people don't play along with them, it ruins the illusion. But they can't say a fucking thing to me, for using their name - that's the beauty of it. I relish the fact that it pisses them off.

I have told this story a few times, but I was briefly in social work and had to attend a lot of conferences on zoom in 2020. I kept getting messages about putting in my pronouns. I refused and said you can refer to me by the name I have listed. This stupid bitch reported
Me to my supervisor. Nothing happened, but a discussion was had similar to what you are saying.
 
Fucked up but if she can't understand the concept being asked of her, maybe she's not cognitively capable of handing the duties anymore.

This isn't rocket science and I'm sure they made an effort to get her up to speed on their new policies. So either she didn't understand it or she didn't want to abide by it. Either way, it's a legit, but unfortunate, firing.
 
At his rate were just going to have to accept Schizophrenia as personal choice and not a mental illness...

Sure. Doesn't make the initial firing incorrect. I don't look at these retractions as evidence that the initial action was wrong. It's more evidence that they were tone deaf to their actions and how the public would respond to it. I try to convey that with the words "unfortunate, firing". Meaning that it's not a good action, even if it is a legal one.
 
The inclusion of this radical religion's "pronouns" was a giant leap towards idiocracy.

In before low-IQ dredges claim she's unfit to continue her compassionate care of MS victims because she can't understand this ludicrous garbage...

The worst part is English has built in gender neutral pronouns, as in "it's a boy" but they will get offended by that too so it has to be their own special thing that the entire language accommodates.
 
I may have the dumbs today, but she was volunteering there...as in not getting paid? Then she didn't understand the dumb complex pronouns the MS society implemented?

their mental illness shouldn't be ridiculed unless they force their illness on society in a passive-aggressive and or a narcissistic power move manner, then they fucking deserve it.

Can't speak for that person but most American-style conservatism (read reactionary) is simply a modern way of maintaining the in and out groups in their mind.

It's no longer acceptable to hate the blacks or gays or disabled in the way it was. So the posts need moving so they still have people to hate and rally their team against.
