well, yeah i think i got this wrong from the beginning. you guys are absolutely right talking about people who know what they are doing. i worked in several commercial gyms and the crossfit hype brought the type of lifter, i would call attention whore. the guys who know shit about weightlifting...
like you, haha?
if there is platform and bumpers then of course people should use them.
still there are guys who need more attention than others, i guess. you can tell the difference.
acting like a national champion for the olympic preps in some silly bog-standard commercial gym while your max press is probably not even bodyweight is dumb and annoying. if you wanna be a weightlifter than go to a weightlifting gym and if you wanna do crossfit then go there. the old time...
i started doing all the hard cardio with the bike after my hips were trash. if you want to save your joints and live in a big city i would avoid the traffic and choose an indoor option.
for something different and more ma specific, i am a big fan of the bas rutten audio workouts. you can do...
exactly. if you have access to some sort of nature, then go outside. if you live in a super urban area with no forest or something, i wouldn't go outdoors either.
i am doing a mix of fast uphill walking and hill sprints with the bike. i also do longer flatland rides. i wouldn't use walking to get into peak condition just because you can't reach your higher zones. but you sure can improve your endurance depending on the terrain. the trails i walk are very...

while you are right to some degree, there are exercises which hit more the upper or the lower part. i can curl the upper abs while leaving the lower part completely flat and vice versa. so this "all or nothing" thing is not 100% right. there are studies which show different levels of fiber...
i always lift alone, so no people watching. some moves just make me feel like "what the actual f am i doing here?". most of the time it's core exercises. i will just go with the big basics and be fine, i guess.
hip thrusts are a great assistance. no doubt. but some exercises make me feel even more retarded than i really am.
somehow deadlifts or the quick lifts never make me feel retarded.
lying neck nods and circles to warm up. high reps of 50+. all four directions.
i like isometrics against a wall. leaning forward while holding weight. all four directions.
i also do neck nods forward and backward with manual resistance or a weight plate. i like 20 reps here.
stay withing a rom...
