Gtfo with that comparison.
Against Aldo, Conor broke the record for fastest title fight finish in mma history (p4p, in both men and women, including subs/KOs).
Cant compare a 13 second blinkNmiss to a 2 round backNforth.
I agree.
I actually started noticing it since last year.
Threads about women’s mma having guy discussing girls abilities outside the top rankings while dropping names.
No it wont… nothing about Boots has an aura of foreman… unless somehow Boots knocks out Spence in the first round.
He will just be the canelo to his floyd with hardocre fans shitting on him for fighting a green boots.
I say he should just continue trying to chase the real canelo like he is...
Oh I've watched. granted, I may have exaggerated the "couldnt do shit" part. but if you compare their performances against Jan (though it's MMA math at this point) Alex did much better, and most of us scored it for Alex. I'm curious, did you think Jan could have deserved the nod?
Also, I dont...
You must be retarded. read past the first sentence of each paragraph. I said "which alex hasn't done yet" but if he did it would surpass.
Also, regarding the quality opponents I was talking about kickboxing, and emphasized it. and even said it was unrelated.
I really doubt that matters after what we saw him do at LHW.
If Jan's wrestling couldn't do shit to Alex, then I doubt Brunson or Vettori would have been a challenge.
I am confused on what you are trying to say.
Alex knocked Izzy out cold in their kickboxing rematch.
Also, Alex was ranked no.1 p4p in Glory at one point and held multiple titles in different weight classes.
Izzy has never won any variation of a world championship in kickboxing. and his resume...
Obviously, I'm talking about the base pay for unknown prospects with no leverage for negotiation. Not guys who are already famous or former champs in other international orgs.
If anybody doesn't know, I'm talking about PFL buying Bellator, and rebranded holding 3 events since then. So just...
Winning a belt in one division, then moving up a weight class and winning a belt and defending it twice is much more impressive than defending the lower of the 2 weights 5 times. Which Alex hasn't done yet.
I say their UFC achievements are equal in terms of quality (not quantity).
Unrelated...
No, seemed the same to me.
That nose wasn't broken cause of accumulation though.
Any human alive would have gotten their nose broken if countered by a jumping hook kick right between the nostrils while diving in. let's not forget he had a deviated septum and got it fixed less than a couple...
Imo if you’re already champ and then beat another champ, and you both are considered light years better than the red of the division, that as good as any takeover in my book if you’re aiming to move up.
Remember though, Gamboa did hold the right before that fight regardless of how they stripped it.
Imo it would have been his 4th division takeover, not 3rd.
When he defended his 135 belt with an iconic KO, Gamboa was the best other guy in the division.
