Law Are you surprised that Texas has made the move to push many conservative laws recently?

It’ll backfire as bad as isolating their power grid.

Samsung should take the poor infrastructure and unreliability of Texas energy (lmao?) into consideration before it commits to building another fab there, nevermind one with a price tag of $17 billion. They should go with Arizona like Intel and TSMC have instead. The power outage this year ruined over 70,000 wafers.

It’ll back fire because like a lot of conservative policy, it benefits POC’s.

The absence of murdering black and Latino babies will create a demographic nightmare for the white conservative Texans.

This is not even to mention the needless suicide of anti-masking white conservatives.

As a POC, I welcome this.

This was the wildest revelation of the 2020 census IMO.

People of Color Make Up 95% of Texas’ Population Growth, 2020 Census Shows

The state’s Hispanic population is now nearly as large as the non-Hispanic white population, with Texas gaining nearly 11 Hispanic residents for every additional white resident since 2010. Those trends set up a pitched battle for political control when state lawmakers redraw legislative districts.

You don't seem to know why Texas Republicans enacted these changes or why people are upset with them...why are you even discussing this?
you don't seen to know why democrats in general are trying to keep things wide open like voting without proof of who you are when poc have id's. why are we even discussing this?

also, where are you from? i'm from the rgv bud

I would hate to live there. Would be much better to live in a state where protesters can block streets and hospitals whenever they want. I want homeless encampments everywhere, kids indoctrinated into fake racist history and hookers all over the place.

How are we ever going to progress as a society if we don't start mandating that these things become normal?

Fake racist history?

This is just going to motivate people to vote. That is terrible news for Republicans. Putting in all that effort to make voting harder while doing your best to piss people off just enough to ensure they vote en masse.

Texas might go blue sooner than expected.

Fuck you Rogan. Lol.

Joe Rogan. Got sick of California and rebelled by moving to the most flooded with Californians liberal city in Texas.

Fake racist history?

If CRT taught about actual racism that happened in the past, no one would have a problem with it. Instead it teaches a made up version of it that is not rooted in fact.

Any examples of what you're talking about?

Just look at how the Republicans have drawn the district maps in Texas. Here is the Republican Dan Crenshaws district. The city of Houston is a modern Purple city, that tends to skew left, like most major metropolitan areas. So look what they draw the maps like, to ensure he wins.

Gerrymandering Masterpiece.

It’s mind blowing that this is even allowed. Just another example of many that Republicans these days are win at all costs even if it’s subverting the democracy. Fuck the will of the people just hold on to power.

they need to legalize weed, then it would be near perfect

You don't know what you are talking about. Texas schools whitewash slavery in their textbooks.

It's a death rattle. Texas has XXL economic value though.

I love how "homosexual conduct" is still illegal per the state penal code even though the SCOTUS rendered the law unenforceable on account of... Lawrence vs. Texas in 2003. They deliberately keep it on the books in spite of that.

<Dany07>

The old fogies of the GOP love that sense of danger and foreboding when indulging in that other other love.

Keeps that spark in their balls.

CRT states that racism is prevalent in every aspect of life. Can you prove that to be true?

Also it states that anyone who disagrees with CRT must be racist, even if that person is black.

If anything, CRT is a cult that tries to mind fuck you into believing you are something that you aren't. CRT paints itself as the absolute truth and if you disagree with it, then you yourself must be racist.

That is cult mind fucking 101 right there.

I didn't realize you studied the textbooks of every Texas school.

Teaching kids that slavery is bad while not getting into the blood and guts of slavery is considered white washing to you guys. Every kid leaves elementary school knowing that being racist is a bad thing but apparently that's not enough?

It may be a scramble before the midterms

I think Texas is coming to the realization that they are no longer a red state. In coming elections it will mostly be blue, so they are trying to get anything through now that they can
