That being said, the rain forest should be protected at all cost. Tons of land that is "protected", is currently being depleted. It goes back to similar situations as in Africa... would you give 2 fucks about the future of endangered rhinos if you needed to kill them to feed your family? Same thing with illegal logging in Brazil, those loggers give 2 shits about some actors/actresses oxygen. They kill indigenous tribes in order to make $$$. And Bolsonaro is not at all a conservationist.

It will take a massive amounts of effort/manpower/$$$ to stop these crimes in an area that makes securing the southern border in the US look like child's play. Brazil is broke, that piggy bank has already been robbed. If the carwash scandal was not brought to light, Brazil was 5-10 years away from Venezuela like scenes. We're talking about doctors eating out of dumpsters and massive refugee problems.

The most unfortunate part is, the media really just wants to attack Bolsonaro, instead of an effort to help in any significant means.
