This Ian feller is wrong isn't he?

Speaker does not have to be a member of Congress. Which means Pelosi would become president even if not reelected to her seat (given that Democrats are still in the majority). None of that will happen, but still.
"The House elects its speaker at the beginning of a new Congress (i.e. biennially, after a general election) or when a speaker dies, resigns or is removed from the position intra-term."
If I'm reading that correctly, a new Congress would start ~January 20th 2021, which would mean Pelosi would no longer be the Speaker of the House. But this stuff has been confusing me since the question first popped into my head.

But if there is no House (all terms expire on Jan 3rd) how can there be a Speaker?

The number of people to test positive for coronavirus in the UK as of 9am on Wednesday is 2,626, up from 1,950 at the same time on Monday, according to the Gov.uk website.

A total of 56,221 people have been tested in the UK, with 53,595 negative results.

Can't remember who was asking about delaying the elections but here you go

I haven't wanted to mention this, but the US has a State of Emergency/Continuity of Government Program that has historically been extralegal and unconstitutional, and we're not allowed to see it. Rep. Pete DeFazio (who was at the time on the Committee on Homeland Security) was twice denied SCIF access.

Even if the death tolls aren't extremely high, 20% need hospitalized. More people than our hospitals can handle. That will result in other non Corona infected people dying because there is nobody or equipment available to help them. Gotta look at the big picture bro

I wont be complaining too much if after a couple a weeks, with no major spikes in deaths/ hospitalization, we begin returning back to normal. However what I anticipate is that even if we dont see huge spikes this hysteria will be used to justify a continued shutdown and absolute trampling of our rights and freedoms not mention our jobs and small business.

Honestly the threat of the usa govt instituting a permenant overreach and society descending into chaos is every bit alarming as this virus.

The failure to elect a president causes procedures to kick in before the House terms expire, no? Like, they don't just sit on their thumbs until Jan 20th, they go into succession stuff while still in office.

But masks don’t work for the healthy. Lmao

Your source is...?
Your ass?
you cant tell fake news from real

if you bothered reading the article, they sourced https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html

As far as I've been able to dig up, no such provisions exist, though, as posted earlier, there appear to be a Continuity of Government Program, though that's apparantly top secret.

The Constitution is quite clear though:
"Twentieth Amendment

Section 1. The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin."

they real reason why the professionals dont want folks to buy up masks........ so they can have first dibs. Field workers in our company are required to wear masks.......

Yeah, looks like that Twitter-dude was right:
"There has been a formal line of succession to the presidency since 1792 (currently found in the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, 3 U.S.C. § 19). This runs from the Vice President to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, President pro tempore of the Senate, and then through the Cabinet secretaries in a sequence specified by Congress."
I think that would kick in.

People can't get tested. Guy from work has tried to get tested numerous times. He treid again today, but the testing site ran out of kits just 20 minutes after opening this morning.
