I support his decision, but he may have just embarked on an antagonistic relationship with the UFC.

That's exactly what he did. He should have just taken the fight all things considered. He doesn't want to lose so he can fight for the title, well pissing off the UFC isn't the best way to accomplish that. In my opinion Michel was such an easy fight as he isn't on WB's level but WB is sticking to principles or whatever. When he declined the fight was he under the assumption he was going to get paid anyway?
