How many contracts will be given out on Week 3 of DWCS 2022?

It's not a "big deal" in terms of controversy. Just gives you a glimpse into how much of the fight game isn't logical/merit-based and actually just a big jerkoff sesh by the promoter.
jerkoff....meaning promotion/business. It makes no sense to rush the guy. If people watched the post-fight with Dana he told you what they were doing. When he said if Bo's camp wasn't happy with his decision he would let Bo in the UFC (not exactly those words) he told you the hand they were playing. It's not the Aaron Pico hand.

congrats on your contract BTW, Erik Silva 2.0

finally starting to come of age.

He'll probably beat some regional level guys. I hope so anyway. I hate seeing guys without a lot of fight experience get pushed too aggressively. It can ruin some guys. Bo is obviously talented, but the UFC is a shark tank.

I'm gonna prove you doubters wrong. This final chapter in my career will be the best one.

Would be hilarious if Nickal turned around and said 'fuck off, you had CM Punk fight here at 0-0, Mickey Gall at 1-0, Mike fucking Jackson works for you' and signed with Bellator, and became a gigantic star / elite MW.

Especially seeing 2 guys who won decisions get signed outright, one of whom (Pogues) was pedestrian as fuck. I don't 'get' Dana's mindset on this show - if Pogues or Carpenter had fought on episode 1, neither would've been signed.

Silva is 35, well done on the finish, but he'll probably go 1-2/3 and be cut.

Pogues the same. 9-3 now, decision machine. Will likely fight at 205lbs and will go 0-2 and be cut.

Carpenter has some upside, though. He could be pretty good.
It's pretty simple:
The show exists to build the celebrity of Dana White as a caricature that a TV network can sell to idiots, combined with a labor management tool that can justify bringing in cans while gatekeeping talented fighters with less desirable backgrounds for their marketing (e.g. normal, foreign, no dead relatives to cry on camera about etc...)

You don't watch the show, do you?

You don't watch the show, do you?
huh?
I watch about 80% of them.

Through the entire telecast Bisping sucks Dana dingaling and features fat goof delivering a retarded reality show monologue every episode. Every taken a gander at the name of the show?

DWCS allows Dana and the UFC to create content using:
-Absolute cans they wouldn't sign to the actual UFC, either to be squashed on the show or to be brought in as cans in the actual UFC after winning some shit tier fight. (ex: Pogues)
-Guys who deserve to be in the UFC anyways with plenty of experience but the UFC doesn't want to pay up for (ex: Azamat Murzakanov or Erik Silva, old guys)
-Guys who they've essentially signed to the UFC already (ex. Nickal)
-Story/gimmick fighters (ex: Pogues)

The % of fights between actually young miscellaneous evenly matched prospects is almost nonexistent.
At least on TUF it was almost always a crapshoot fight.

I disagree with most of this.

It also doesn't address the content of the post I was quoting. Gatekeeping talented fighters who are foreign or "normal"?

Tons of fighters on DWCS are foreign, especially the last two seasons. Lots of them are relatively normal. You just hate Dana White and are looking for reasons to shit on him, whether or not it's based in reality.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike Dana White, but this show isn't one of them.

Don't like it? Don't watch.

That's exactly my point lol.
Guys are forced to do these shitty smoker fights in what should be full-pay prelim debuts on real cards when they don't have some special connection or marketing angle.
I provided examples of multiple guys in their 30s from unpopular areas who deserved direct UFC signing in the world where this retarded scam of a show doesn't exist.

Nobody is forced to do anything.

And you aren't forced to watch the show!

See you next Tuesday!
During the smoker fights featuring a bunch of foreigners fighting cheap lol. I will watch. Doesn't make it any less of a new cost/contractor-maneuvering method of creating some absurd Dana character aura giving him (and/or the producers in his ear) the ability to capriciously cast the roster.

See you then, Sherbro!

Just watched the episode, pretty entertaining one. Did that crying dude just got the contract because he was crying?
